Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 Overview

Enhance your display's audio with the Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 SSE 800W Soundbar System. It features a soundbar with left, right, and center channels, two side-firing tweeters, and two satellite speakers that can act as either rear or up-firing Atmos speakers. The two included 8" wireless subwoofers provide low bass impact and send power and audio to the satellite speakers. The system's ability to decode Dolby and DTS signals, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, helps provide an immersive surround sound experience with compatible content.

This soundbar system has Bluetooth connectivity for pairing with your compatible smart device and wirelessly streaming your audio content. Its wired connections include optical, digital coaxial, 1/8", and three HDMI inputs to support a variety of source types. The soundbar also has a USB port for playback of MP3 and WAV files. Its HDMI output is ARC-compatible, so you can hear display-based audio from built-in apps like Netflix and YouTube. It includes a backlit remote control as an added convenience.

The Soundwafe Elite 7.2 SSE can decode Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based multidimensional audio that seems like it's flowing around, above, and through you.
Spatial Surround Elevation (SSE) Processing Technology
The three processing engines (Spatial, Surround, and Elevation) are designed to work in harmony to help produce detailed, immersive audio.
  • The Spatial engine performs spatial-amplification techniques and engages the four tweeters in the system to provide enhanced detail and directionality, and enlarge the spaciousness of the soundstage.
  • The Surround engine provides upmixing, phase, and volume augmentations to help optimize the clarity and balance of the sound across all the channels.
  • The Elevation engine enables the processing of object-based content, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and interlaces a height effects sound layer into each driver to help provide a more immersive perception of directionally vertical effects.
Dual 8" Wireless Subwoofers
The two down-firing wireless subwoofers are engineered to produce bass effects that are smooth and virtually impossible to localize. They emit bass effects as low as 35 Hz directly onto the surface of the floor to distribute bass in all directions. Using two subwoofers helps create a sweet spot with no boundary for reduced distortion and smooth, balanced bass effects at all listening levels.
Two 2-Way Satellite Speakers
The two satellite speakers are designed to provide clear, immersive surround effects. They can be used as rear channels or in up-firing Atmos configurations.
Side-Firing Effects Tweeters
The side-firing tweeters in the soundbar help envelop you in surround effects.
Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Object-Based Surround Sound
Dolby Atmos surround sound technology dispenses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space. Similarly, DTS:X delivers individual sounds virtually anywhere in your room and moves them around in 3D space, including above you.
Quad-Core Surround Processor
The embedded Cirrus Logic quad-core DSP chipset processes soundtracks with speed, precision, and clarity.
Dolby Vision HDR Pass-Through
The HDMI inputs and output support the pass-through of Dolby Vision HDR signals from compatible source equipment and media to your compatible TV. 4K UHD pass-through is also supported.
Bluetooth with aptX
Stream music wirelessly from your compatible device with Bluetooth. aptX technology helps enhance Bluetooth sound quality for more detailed wireless playback.
Backlit Remote Control
The 52-key backlit remote control allows seamless control, even in the dark. It provides access to source inputs, EQ settings, individual channel volume, three modes of SSE personalization, one-button room size optimization, and lip sync adjustments.

This function is designed to optimize your surround sound based on preconfigured settings for small, medium, and large room sizes.

No, the bluetooth feature is for streaming only. The wireless subs communicate via RF.

The subwoofer's power cable is 5ft, the surround cables connecting to the subwoofer is 32ft.

It is not compatible but you can still pair it using Bluetooth with your Google Home device. So that when you play music through your Google Home device, the music would be coming out from this soundbar system which is a major upgrade.
