24 LEDs
The 3.5" ring light has 24 LEDs to offer surprising brightness for such a compact LED light. That means you don't need the light right in front of your face, glaring in your eyes. Move the light back. You'll still have ample light to achieve crisp color and detail.
Three Color-Temperature Settings
To make sure you fit into your surroundings, VL-24 boasts an equal number of tungsten and daylight LEDs. You can select the warm and friendly glow of a tungsten bulb when you're indoors, bright and sharp daylight for outdoor setups, or a combination of the two.
Ten-Step Brightness Control

What is the easiest way to open the clamp. Mine is extremely tight. Is there a trick i am missing?. Thanks.
The clamp on the Revo Bi-Color Vlog Light with Phone Holder, B&H # REVL24, does not have a specific trick to open it. I would recommend looking at the screw and see if it's not too tight, beyond that, using an oil lubricant could help if it happens to be stuck.

Does the light get it's power from the phone or can it be powered separately? Curious because it looks like it would be useful for macro photography.
