Epson P7570 Reviews

Anti-Consumer Ticking Time-bomb

I print Piezography using all monochromatic inks. This makes stunning B&W images that cannot be matched by OEM Epson ink. The P7570 is so locked down you absolutely cannot using anything other than Epson ink. What's more, the print heads on these last 3-5 years and cost a SUBSTANTIAL sum to replace them. Canon print heads are about $500 and a simple user replaceable part. So not only has Epson killed the future of an incredible B&W inkjet alternative process, be prepared for this printer to become a major headache in due course. So much so that it's often easier to just replace the whole printer outright even if every other aspect of it is working just fine.

Will take a dump in 3-5 years.

Had one. Massive disappointment and worse than no support from Epson. Good money after bad trying to fix a printer that seemed programmed to fail.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this printer, replacing a P800 (a great printer). Can this printer be connected directly to my Apple Studio via ethernet cable (no network or switch). Is there an advantage using the ethernet connection versus USB 2.0?
Asked by: James
Users of the Epson SureColor P7570 24" Wide-Format Inkjet Printer can connect the printer directly to their computer via Ethernet if they so choose. Ethernet cables has several advantages including a faster data rate than USB 2.0, the cables are more affordable at longer lengths, and Ethernet can carry a signal further than USB.

Do you have to use all ink cartridges of the same size, or can the 150ml be used alongside the 350ml ones? B&H is backordered on several colors in certain sizes. I'm about to buy this printer, and want to order a backup ink set with it.
Asked by: Bill
On this printer you would be able to mix and match ink cartridge sizes. So some can be 150ML and otehrs can be 350Ml.

Its a new product so details are limited. If it does come with starter inks they are not going to last very long and you will need to buy full size ink tanks to do any quantity of printing.
