Marantz PM-KI Ruby Stereo 200W Power Amplifier

Enjoy enhanced quality audio with your speakers, audio source, and the Marantz PM-KI Ruby Stereo 200W Power Amplifier. It outputs up to 100W per channel RMS at 8 ohms and can drive 4 ohm speakers at 200W each. It features seven total stereo RCA inputs, including one reserved for a MM or MC turntable. Omitting the inclusion of any digital connectivity helps retain a clean path for the analog audio signal to pass through.

HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) Technology

The onboard HDAM SA3 and SA2 are combined with an optimized circuit design layout to help provide enhanced sound quality and performance.

Marantz Musical Premium Phono EQ

Designed to deliver optimal sound by simplifying the signal path, the Marantz Musical Premium Phono EQ stage can be used with both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges thanks to a built-in MC head amplifier. Distortion is reduced by using two-stage amplification in the phono stage, and Maranz HDAMs are combined with JFETs (junction gate field effect transistors) in the output stage to provide high input impedance. The exclusion of coupling capacitors further simplifies the design, reducing signal distortion and enhancing signal purity.

Electronic Volume Control

The electronic volume control uses its IC to augment channel separation, dynamic range, and distortion reduction, while retaining the operational feel of an analog volume control device. This volume control is designed for high linearity as well.

Current Feedback Amplifier

Current Feedback amplification is engineered to match the requirements of Super Audio hi-res music for wide-bandwidth, high-speed reproduction. The impedance at the Current Feedback point is limited, generating a low phase shift. This reduces the need for phase compensation by minimizing Negative Feedback (NFB), simplifying the signal path, contributing to a high through-rate with enhanced transient response and sonic transparency across the bandwidth. Current Feedback also makes the amplifier insensitive to difficult speaker loads.

Designed to Deliver Power

The PM-KI Ruby is designed to maintain the purest possible sound and support the power needed for demanding speakers. The amplifier output stage delivers up to 100W per channel into an 8-ohm load, and can cope with high-impedance speakers as well, delivering up to 200W per channel into 4 ohms. The amplifier module connects directly to the rear panel PCB to help maintain signal purity and sound stability.

Pure Analog Amplifier

Rather than build a DAC into the amplifier, which would add noise within the chassis, the PM-KI Ruby is dependent on the DAC built into the audio source, eliminating interference with the analog signals passing through the amp to help maintain an analog environment that's as pure and clean as possible.

Multiple Analog Inputs and Outputs

In addition to nickel-plated copper phono and CD analog inputs, the PM-KI Ruby features two line-level inputs and two pairs of recorder input/output jacks that allow the connection of multiple sources and recorders. You can use it as a standalone stereo amplifier for additional system configuration versatility with the power amp input, or connect the PM-KI Ruby to an external amplifier via the stereo pre-amp outputs.

Dedicated Headphone Output

Thanks to the onboard HDAM discrete modules, the headphone circuit is designed to deliver enhanced audio fidelity with a wide range of headphone types and impedances, including low-impedance headphones.

System Remote Control

Use the included remote control to operate the PM-KI Ruby and other compatible equipment, such as the SA-KI Ruby SACD player. Remote control input and output jacks are also onboard for further configuration flexibility.

Marantz SA-KI Ruby SACD Player

Enjoy all your favorite audio CDs, Super Audio CDs, and files with the Marantz SA-KI Ruby SACD Player. It has a front-loading tray that will accept your SACDs, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and DVD-ROM discs encoded with various audio file types, including MP3, WMA, WAV, and AAC. The CD player has a USB Type-A port for playing files from portable drives, as well as a USB Type-B input for connecting your computer. For private listening, it has a 1/4" headphone output on the front panel. It includes a stereo RCA cable, a remote cable, and a remote control.

Dedicated SACD & CD Playback

The onboard transport mechanism is engineered to provide enhanced performance when playing SACDs, CDs, and music stored on data discs, including DVD-ROMs, allowing you to create high-resolution audio compilation discs using your computer's DVD burner. It can play FLAC files from 44.1 to 192 kHz at up to 24-bit resolution, DSD 2.8 MHz, DSD 5.6 MHz, ALAC (Apple Lossless), AIFF, and MP3 files.

More Than a CD Player

The built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC) lets you convert music stored on your computer, and the digital inputs enable the SA-KI Ruby to pass audio from existing source components. The optical and digital coaxial inputs can handle files at up to 192 kHz / 24-bit; a USB Type-B asynchronous input allows for the direct connection of your computer and supports PCM and DXD files at up to 384 kHz / 32-bit, as well as DSD 2.8 MHz, DSD 5.6 MHz, and DSD 11.2 MHz. The SA-KI Ruby also uses 1-bit conversion and incorporates filtering and upconversion technologies.

Marantz Musical Mastering

PCM and DXD inputs are upconverted to DSD at 11.2 MHz using the onboard MMM-Stream converter, and the high-frequency signal produced is processed by the MMM-Conversion stage, rather than a conventional DAC, to produce the analog output.

MMM-Stream replaces the oversampling filters normally used in D/A conversion and allows the implementation of the Marantz Musical Mastering filtering. One provides a slow roll-off and short impulse response, and the other offers the option of a medium roll-off with short pre-ringing and longer post-ringing.

Dual System Clocks

Two system clocks are used to help ensure accurate upconversion of the incoming signal, whether it's from a disc or the digital inputs, ranging from 44.1 kHz to 12.288 MHz. Sigma Delta Modulation allows the DSD-standard signal to be passed to the conversion section in the form of a high-frequency stream of pulses. The design of the DSD-to-analog filter feeds into the Marantz HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) in the output stage to help achieve optimal sound quality.

High-Current Power Supply

The power supply of the SA-KI Ruby features a large high-current toroidal power transformer with OFC (oxygen-free copper) secondary wires, plus high-current Schottky barrier diodes in the rectifier stage to help provide a pure DC voltage output.

System Remote Control

Use the included remote control to operate the SA-KI Ruby and other compatible equipment, such as the PM-KI Ruby amplifier. Remote control input and output jacks are also onboard for further configuration flexibility.

Integrated DAC

Having the DAC built into the SA-KI Ruby helps eliminate interference with the analog signals passing through your amp, maintaining an analog environment that's as clean as possible.

Low-Noise Fluorescent Display

The low-noise LCD panel features alpha-numeric characters and is compatible with CD Text-encoded music discs and can also show the bit depth of the input signal. The display can be turned off via a button on the remote.

Dedicated Headphone Output

Connect your favorite headphones to the SA-KI Ruby via the front-panel jack, which also features its own selectable gain control. The headphone circuit is compatible with a wide range of headphone types and lower-impedance headphones. The large diameter of the volume knob helps simplify fine adjustments.

Engineered for Quality

The SA-KI Ruby features a double-layered, copper-plated chassis for enhanced rejection of mechanical and electrical interference, casework made from non-magnetic aluminum panels with a 0.197" thick top lid. Nickel-plated copper RCA terminals help provide an enhanced listening experience.

Additional Features
