Stream HD video and audio to a variety of content delivery networks over cellular connections with this LiveU Solo HDMI Video Encoder with 2-Modem Starter Kit put together by B&H. The kit includes the HDMI Solo Video Encoder and a two-modem Solo Connect starter kit.

The encoder features one HDMI input to connect your camera to stream to a variety of content providers such as the LiveU Cloud Service and content delivery networks, including YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Wowza, Ustream, and more. The two included cellular modems allow you to stream over multiple cellular networks when you subscribe to the LiveU SoloConnect service that includes unlimited cellular data plans and the LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) cloud service.

LiveU Solo HDMI Video/Audio Encoder

Start streaming high-quality HD video and audio with the LiveU Solo HDMI Video Encoder by connecting your camera or video device via HDMI. Leveraging LiveU's Cloud Service, you can easily broadcast to a large variety of content delivery networks, including YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Wowza, Ustream, and more, using bonded connectivity over dual cellular networks (requires separately available modems), Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.

The plug-and-play functionality, combined with the power of LiveU's Reliable Transport protocol (LRT), enables a simple setup for high-quality streaming video with versatile distribution options as well as stable transmission, even when operating in remote locations. If operating remotely, use the internal battery to power the Solo for approximately three hours. Plus, the compact form factor won't bog down your production by weighing down your camera.

This is the Solo video encoder only; cellular modems must be purchased separately or as part of a kit.

Yes they do! The current carriers are AT&T and T-Mobile. You can also use Sprint and Verizon if you have your own modems or hot spots.

Do this HDMI encoder with 2 starter kit works in India? And do we have to get LRT cloud services or we can use encoder alone?
Asked by: HEMALKUMAR
The modems are designed to work with AT&T and T-Mobile cellular networks. Assuming you can access a mobile network that works with the modems, you do not need the LRT Cloud to use the encoder for another protocol, like YouTube.

If i buy your modems (AT&T + T-Mobile and pay for the data plans through those companies) and I want to add a 3rd network via iPhone hotspot, does using a 3rd company like Verizon offer me a more robust signal? If 2 of my 3 networks are of the same company (2 AT&T and 1 T-Mobile) are the 2 AT&T networks redundant or are they helping?
Asked by: Tim
A Verizon option is definitely recommended and the more redundancy, the better when it comes to live streaming using cellular modems.

Thank you Eric (replying to the last answer). My understanding from cursory reading was that the bonding service could be added per-month and only "when needed", but not an annual fee per-se. Am I mistaken about that?

I have several questions as I'm just getting into ...

I have several questions as I'm just getting into live streaming for weddings - bought Sling Studio last week, and finding it's recommended to pair with LiveU Solo. Question 1: I have Verizon 4 GLTE Cell service - do I need to subscribe to the $45 a month service to get this to work in the field? Question #2 - if answer is yes to #1, do I also need data plans with other cell providers or does the $45 cover that? Question #3 - would I need the modems you bundle in different packages to make this all work?To understand where I'm coming from - lets say I'm shooting / live streaming a wedding in a church with no wifi, or in a park somewhere and have no service. Thanks.
Asked by: William
You can use this product with Verizon. However you would need to direct any questions about the Verizon service to Verizon. We sell modems as well, but they are for AT&T and T-Mobile cellular networks. If you were to get those, you would need service plans with those providers and the subscription plan through LiveU for bonding.
