Used for a 10GB connection between a UDM-Pro and a Unifi 24 Port Switch Pro and it works perfectly.

Only for between 10G SFP+ ports. Doesn't no work with 1 Gigabit. B&H charged about $10 for return.

The cable works excellent even with a USW-24-POE switch that has 1G SFP Ethernet ports, Not 10G SFP+ ports. But in order to make it work with mixed ports, you must limit the speed of connected ports on both devices to 1G.

Does what it is supposed to do

This item does exactly what it is supposed to do. It will connect either an SFP or an SFP port together just by plugging it in. Should you need to connect an SFP port to an SFP port you need to first manually configure the SFP port to negotiate at SFP prior to plugging it in. I honestly wish they sold ones a little shorter since it's literally jumping 1U in the rack but it does the job.

Works fine out of box

Using this with a usw 150w switch + dream machine pro router. The switch only support sfp so you have to set the port on the dream machine pro to sfp. I had to reboot router for the connection to work. And so far its been working fine with no problems

Works

I am actually using this at 1Gbps speeds to connect a USW-24-PoE (non-pro) to the USW-Aggregation, and that requires manually configuring the port on the USW-Aggregation to 1G before it can recognize the link. Not much to say about it, it just works. The pull tab to release the SFP is a bit unintuitive, and I had to pull so hard to get it out I was afraid it might break.

Works well

Works great, I just had to set the speed on each device to 1GB since it was a mixed SPF and SPF+

Do you need the fiber module in addition to this or are they built on the cable?
Asked by: Matthew
No fiber module needed! This is a DIRECT Attached Cable (DAC)--stress the word DIRECT, They work like a charm. Almost too simple to be true.
