The SBG-100 Sound Blanket from Angler minimizes acoustic reflections and reduces ambient noise or outside sound when recording audio or shooting video in an office, home environment, or any room that needs an acoustic treatment. The audio blanket's heavy cotton batting can dampen unwanted noise, improve soundproofing, and help isolate instruments when recording. Twelve sturdy metal grommets provide mounting options for walls, light stands, or background supports. In addition, the audio blanket can be mounted over a window to control ambient light, and it can also be used to pad and protect gear during transport. The 12 metal grommet holes can accommodate bungee cords to wrap valuable gear like cameras, lights, and lighting or sound consoles.

Angler SBG-100 Reviews
Works well, likely superior to Moving Blankets
They baffle sound nicely, didn't break the bank, and are probably superior to moving blankets for not much more money. Also came with nice bags for storage or transport. BONUS! I have Producers' Choice sound blankets, and they're better, white on one side and black on the other, with grommets and velcro, but they're twice the price. I needed more blankets, and these anglers worked great.
It's like my teenage son isn't even in this room
We got this to put on the inside of my seriously loud 16-year old son, to give the rest of us some respite while he's on Discord with his friends, which is about 19 hours a day. With my home office across the hallway this was essential, and it works better than I expected. Highly recommended!
Not my first blanket, and these things work.
I’ve been using acoustic blankets for many years, and the Angler SBG-100 Sound Blanket is no disappointment. It’s very thick, heavy as it should be, and features a matte, non reflective finish, which helps absorb sound better and not bouncing off of it. If you know the physics of sound, and the size of the room you’re trying to improve its acoustics, this blanket will provide great results. Have you ever tried recording audio interview in a client’s kitchen? Even in some living rooms... With all those granite counters, shiny cabinets, marble or hardwood floors, windows and glass all over ... it’s a nightmare. That’s when these blankets come in! Not only you can hang them by their built in grommets, clamping them, you can also place them on the floor, coffee tables, any surface that you think can bounce sound, put them there! And of course, the closer they are to the subject, the greater the result, especially if all you’re doing is recording audio only, get these blankets CLOSE. Now... When filming, get them as close as possible but out of the shot obviously. In large rooms, you’ll need several blankets to obtain a satisfactory reverberation control. I took this blanket in a large set, using the 2 blankets that I had. I could hear improvements of at least 15-20% by placing them across each talent so when they speak, the person across the opposite seat, their voice hits towards those blankets. Having a very high ceiling also helps since their voices have to travel far, rather than a short ceiling causing lots of reverb. Again, the closer you place the blankets to the subject, the greater the result. Tip for you: Please research the “inverse square law” on YouTube or Google to better understand the physics of sound and lighting. It will help you greatly improve your knowledge in your productions. For audio recording, try wrapping the blanket around yourself or the talent around 360.o. Not just covering the front where the mic is placed, since the voice bounces on every wall. This is a mistake I see repeatedly people doing it by just treating the front. The BACK (behind you) is also extremely important. Very impressed with the quality of this blanket. Be sure to check out the pictures I posted here showing the actual Angler SBG-100 being utilized in a real set with real clients on a corporate shoot. What better way to test these, right? Versatile and heavy-duty sound blanket
The Angler Sound blanket is well made, rugged, and versatile. I've used it to help control exterior sound for voice work, to block out light from windows, and to add extra protection to some of my gear in transport. The grommets make it easy to put up quickly and secure to a variety of stands. I've had it a few weeks and have used it outside and beaten up a bit and it still looks new. It seems like it will hold up well over time. I did some before and after tests with it for noise control and it definitely makes a difference in muting out some of the noises I was getting in the area where I was doing some voice overs. This is a good addition to my kit. (I received this item in exchange for my honest review)
Absolutely deadened reflections off a tile floor
Heavy duty and does the trick. Grommets feel securely stitched into the fabric.
Does its job
Works great at killing sound and protecting gear when loading. Planning on buying a few more.
