Is the cross bar durable enough to be used for an overhead photography rig? Specifically Canon EOS R + 50mm f/1.8.
Asked by: Rebecca
No, the problem with doing that is bending the internal connections of each pole ultimately making them impossible to connect. I don't even use the poling for backdrops longer than 12 feet as many do. It's a great system for light backdrops, even seamless paper. You just have to be gentle with them.

Best fit of seamless paper for this background

5 or 8 feet. While the middle may sag slightly, the rolls remain straight. I use seamless paper all the time with this backdrop and have no issues at all. I am very gentle on my equipment and do not rush set up or break down. That's when you create problems with the system. If you take care of the system, it will be there for you.

question

Is this a good back drop support for photo booths that require either paper, cloth, or any material back drop? Also how do you attach the seamless paper roll to it?
Asked by: Matthew G.
Hi--it depends how big the photo booth is--the bottom part of the stands do take quite a bit of space so you wouldn't want to use this in a cramped situation. Otherwise, if you have lots of room then it could work well. I have never used this support for a paper roll but I don't see why it wouldn't work. The horizontal cross bar at the top lifts off of the stands so you would just slide that crossbar through the paper roll.

question

What is the standard, maximum, and minimum height recommended for this stand?
Asked by: Anonymous
I've used this system on several occasions and it has always been stable, even when extended to the full height. It's a real lifesaver if you need to take the studio with you.
