The *minimum* write speed is what is most important, and yet I can't find that information anywhere. Anyone know? Thanks!

Unfortunately, the minimum sustained write speed is not given by Sony. Please contact them for more info at; (800) 222-7669 http://www.sony.com/

In specifications, manufacturers leave the elephant in the room out. How many write cycles are supported by the card? I saw a very durable for industrial purposes with high mil-spec numbers and 3,000,000 MTBF, but the flash memory will not survive 3,000 write cycles. Another vendor I asked about TBW and they answer "enough". In short: how many write cycles do these "Tough" cards sustain?
Asked by: JP
According to Sony they state that unfortunately, they have no information on the maximum approximate number of write cycles for their Sony 128GB CFexpress Type B TOUGH Memory Card.

R5 card failure: My card totally failed, progressively got worse in the form of freezing while shooting over a 3 day period than it totally bricked, camera won't turn on with the card in the camera, red light comes on but it won't boot. What could have caused this, it's pretty new (6 m/o), is there a warranty? Thank you
Asked by: Roger
If your camera works properly with a different CFExpress card then there must be something quite wrong with the original card. I own 6 of the Sony CFExpress Type B cards and I have not had any difficulty on the Canon 1DX Mark III or Canon R5.

Asked by: David
I have both the sanDisk and Sony CFexpress cards- in my humble opinion the Sony card works much better than expected and has a great great processing speed - I use both cards interchangeably- however I use the Sony as my primary and SanDisk as backup(slot 2) - dual slotted camera
