Vallerret Urbex Reviews
Great Gloves for Photography and General Purpose
I have had the gloves for two weeks, and so far I love them. They brown leather looks great. The fold-back forefinger and thumb are awesome for photography, but are also so useful for using my phone or doing anything with some dexterity. The magnetic pieces don't always hold the fingertip flaps back 100% of the time. That doesn't bother me, but it's something to keep in mind. The big thing is that the gloves keep my thin, poorly circulated, skeletor fingers warm. My hands get cold if I'm outside in any temperature 55F or below. I have mostly used these gloves in 35-50 F (2-10 C) weather. I used them once in when it was 32F with windchill, and my fingers got cold after 15 minutes -- but they didn't get painfully cold like with other gloves. As for fit, I measured my hands (awkwardly, by myself, with a floppy measuring tape) and ordered a medium based on their sizing guidelines. The gloves were almost too snug, and I worried I should have ordered a large. After wearing them a bit, they have stretched (they are leather, after all). They feel pretty good, but I still wonder if a large would have been best. So my recommendation would be to have someone measure your hands for you, and to measure twice.
Functional and Comfortable
I'm a smaller fella, so I tend to have a hard time finding winter gloves that are both comfortable and functional. These do the trick! I find them flexible enough to use my gear without issue, yet still weatherproof enough to keep me snapping pics in the blustery winter weather we've had lately. The magnetic clips on the index fingers and thumbs are not nearly as strong as I might like, but they get the job done. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I expect to make use of these gloves for a long time to come.
