Expectations for image quality must be set properly given that this is a $160 lens; that being said, I think it's great for the money. Build quality is top-notch, and the aperture and focus rings are heavy and smooth (fully manual lens). There was a slight bit of wiggle between the lens and the lens mount on my XT-1. Image quality, I think, is quite good all things considered. This is a very wide and cheap lens, and the edges suffer for it, but not in an unappealing way. Flairs are fun and warping is minimal unless you have a human face really close to the lens. Nothing will be professionally sharp with this lens, but the user experience is great. There is a non-zero chance that the aperture ring will physically disconnect from the aperture control, leaving you unable to adjust the f-stop at all. B&H was kind enough to replace it, but just be aware that that issue is a remote possibility.

Only bought this because it was cheap on Black Friday, but it's turned out to be a nice really wide prime lens! You have to use it with your camera using APS-C rather than full frame, but it's worth it to achieve this wide angle effect!

This will work with the A7III, how it only covers an APS-C sensor. You will need to use the camera in a cropped mode.
