The KX-HN7002W HomeHawk Outdoor Wireless Smart Home Security 2 Camera Kit from Panasonic includes a 720p front door camera, a 720p outdoor add-on camera, and a wireless access point. The included cameras both feature a 172° wide-angle lens, night vision, two-way talk thanks to a built-in speaker and microphone, and an IP65 rating for outdoor use. The access point provides a wireless communication range up to 328'. An integrated memory card slot located on the access point accepts microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 128GB (cards available separately).

Panasonic's HomeHawk app for iOS and Android enables remote management. Compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant provides seamless voice control.

One charge can last up to three months when the camera is used for 5 minutes a day. Note: The camera operates when motion is detected or accessed from the smartphone.

Thank you for your question! Kindly be informed that the camera is connected to a network via your smartphone. The camera can be operated using the dedicated application, which can be downloaded on your smartphone. It is not possible to connect the camera directly to a router.

What I need is a system that is not ...

What I need is a system that is not motion-controlled but is activated by a doorbell type arrangement. (we will get too many false entries if we use a motion activated system. Can you advise a different system that meets these needs?

The only option I can think of will be the WIFI doorbells. Most of the WIFI doorbells that we carry are hardwired for power but there some that are battery operated if needed.

How does the audio portion of the system work? Does somebody speaking alert you that somebody is outside? Or is there a buzzer? How will I know it's somebody at the door and not say a car passing by?

Motion detected in the zones you set, which could be a car will alert the app on your phone then you have the option to initiate the audio.
