This 150mm System Advance Kit Second Generation II from NiSi contains four filters that are compatible with filter holders that can accept 150mm wide, 2mm thick filters. They can be used individually or in various combinations to improve the results of your photography. Included are two neutral density filters that can be used to create a darkening of the entire image; a medium-edge graduated neutral density filter, which prevents overexposure in specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image; and a hard-edge reverse-graduated neutral density filter that can be applied to darken bright skies, specifically during a sunrise or sunset, while also allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image.
Constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity, these filters have been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. To provide neutrality across the visible and infrared spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks, one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating is applied to each of these filters' surfaces. The Nano coating associated with this filter also results in an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil for greater cleaning efficiency.
A filter brush is provided for cleaning and maintenance of the filters, as well as padded pouch for storage and transport.
