The Stella Pro CL 5000 RF LED Light from Light & Motion is a daylight-balanced LED source that packs in enough features to cause many users to call it their ideal light source.
With its very small form factor and weight of only 2.5 lb, it's barely noticeable in your kit case and for location work, the Stella CL 5000 is hard to beat. What is noticeable is the clean, accurate color rendering output from the unit's flicker-free COB LED that gives it a rating of 92 CRI and 94 TLCI, indicating accuracy in color rendering. The Stella 5000 has a wide 120-degree beam spread that can be narrowed with an optional 50-degree optic or softened with an optional diffuser. The fan-less design is dead quiet for sound-sensitive locations, while the light is dimmable either continuously or in steps. You can make these adjustments locally or remotely thanks to its built-in a 20-channel RF receiver that allows wireless adjustments to be made with a separately-purchased remote control from distances of up to 656'.
The unit is powered by a built-in battery that charges in 2 hours, giving you a run time of 90-375 minutes depending on the power selected. You can also run the light from the included external power supply or Gold Mount or V-mount "brick" batteries via an optional D-Tap battery cable. The Stella CL 5000 also comes with a YS Mount Pro, C-Stand Mount, and a High-Leverage Handle to quickly and easily secure your light on a stand or other support. A Profoto adapter is included to allow use of their light-shapers.
The CL 5000 RF can run completely cord free up to 375 minutes and because the battery is integrated into the light it's allowed in both checked and carry-on luggage.
Multiple Power Options
For longer shoots simply plug into any AC or DC power source including D-Tap Gold Mount or V-Lock battery "bricks" (D-Tap cable optional).
120-Degree Beam Angle
The CL 5000's 120-degree native beam is easily shaped with Light & Motion simple press-on optics or light-shaping tools from Profoto (via the included adapter), Elinchrom, DOP Choice, or Chimera.
The high output COB (Chip on Board) LED keeps the light footprint small and eliminates the multi-shadow effect that can be a problem with panel-style light sources.
Fan-free thermal management for silent operation with enhanced firmware to provide consistent regulated output and flicker-free performance.
The CL 5000's built-in wireless communication receiver allows you to experience true cordless freedom and control an infinite number of continuous RF lights from the optional remote with a range of over 600' outdoors and 197' indoors.

Thanks for the reaching out! They are all iterations of the light over the past few years. Runtime specs remained the same throughout, 90 minutes at full output.
Stella Pro 5000 - The first generation of the 5000 lumen model. Many of these commonly have 5000K LEDs, slightly warmer than the daylight-balanced 5600K.
Stella Pro 5000 RF, 5600K - upgraded and updated, this model can be remotely controlled (RF = Radio Frequency). It is daylight-balanced, 5600K.
Stella Pro CL 5000 RF - The most current 5000 lumen light, with a Direct Mount head interface that allows for the use of more refined light shaping modifiers and gels.
All are excellent lights and only differ as we refine them over time. You may send an email to [email protected] to discuss the product more in depth with our highly knowledgeable customer service team. Thanks!

What about battery replacement? Easy to replace yourself? Can I buy a replacement battery and replace myself? Any idea? Thanks in advance!

Hello Harmit. The Li-Ion battery pack is high quality and long-lasting. You should get over 300 cycles before noticing any small reduction in runtime. Depending on user wear and tear, this could equate to up to 5 years of performance at listed specifications. The unit is factory sealed, and raw batteries cannot be shipped because of new federally imposed carrier restrictions. Non-warranty product replacements or repairs are nominally priced and our customer service team will find the best solution for you!
