I hate adding adapters in my cable rigs and this allow my to go straight from Sennheiser Wireless RX direct to the C70 Mini-XLR inputs. Locking connector is a huge bonus but the actual fit is so snug the locking option is just insurance.

Is the flexible portion of the cable 12 inches long or is the length 12 inches including the connectors at the ends?

The flexible portion of the Kondor Blue Mini-XLR cable is about 10.5". When including the connectors, the cable length is approximately 13.5".
