Designed for musicians, producers, and songwriters questing for studio-quality recordings and fresh sounds, the M-Audio AIR 192|8 desktop 2x4 USB Type-C audio interface provides two channels of transparent preamps and converters, easy operability, MIDI I/O, and an expansive software bundle of DAWs, virtual instruments, plug-ins, and loops.

With its two XLR-1/4" combo mic/line inputs and dedicated front-panel 1/4" Hi-Z instrument inputs, the AIR 192|8 can simultaneously accommodate two mics (dynamic/condenser), two electric guitars, or one of each while offering separate meters, -10 dB pads, and gain controls for both inputs. Since the interface has mirrored stereo RCA and 1/4" TRS monitor outputs, assignable stereo RCA aux outs, and a 1/4" headphone output with its own level control and source selection, you can connect active speakers, a set of headphones, and an external DJ mixer. The built-in monitor mixer lets you listen in mono or stereo and dial in the optimal blend of zero-latency live input signal and low-latency computer playback, so you can smoothly transition from tracking to overdubbing to mixing.

Studio-Quality Recording for Musicians and Producers
With the AIR 192|8, you can create 24-bit / 192 kHz studio-quality recordings with an intuitive and easy-to-use audio interface. The AIR 192|8 enables you to record up to two channels at once with its two dedicated XLR-1/4" balanced combo mic/line inputs (+48V phantom power and -10 dB pads are switchable), and two front-panel 1/4" instrument inputs that have a specially designed gain and impedance stage to provide the most accurate representation of a guitar or bass plugged directly into the interface.
Crystal Preamps and High-Resolution Converters
M-Audio's engineers designed their Crystal preamps to provide you with a transparent low-noise preamp that guarantees the best sound from your microphones and captures your performance exactly the way you intended. The AIR 192|8 incorporates pristine A/D converters for 24-bit / 192 kHz resolution digital audio with a dynamic range that lets you capture every nuance and subtlety of the performance.
MIDI I/O
Space-saving 3.5mm MIDI I/O ports and the included 3.5mm to 5-pin MIDI adapters enable you to connect synths, sequencers, and other external MIDI gear, making the interface well suited for integrating MIDI gear with your DAW's virtual instruments and composition functions.
Listen without Latency
When recording, you want to focus on capturing that perfect moment, and getting the best performance out of your artist and talent. You don't want to be bogged down by clicks, pops, or latency. The AIR 192|8 not only features a high-speed USB connection for providing low round-trip latency (2.59 ms) between your machine and your hardware, but it also features monitor mix control for listening directly to the source inputs in mono or stereo, providing you with zero-latency technology.
Main and Aux Outputs
The AIR 192|8 sports mirrored stereo RCA and 1/4" main outputs, assignable stereo RCA aux outputs, a 1/4" headphone output, and separate level controls for the main and headphone outputs. The headphone out also has a switch to source it from output channels 1-2 or 3-4, ideal for DJ cueing or setting up a different headphone mix from the main mix.
Bus Powered
The AIR 192|8 is bus powered, so you don't have to carry around an external power supply. Connect it to your Mac or Windows computer via the supplied USB cables (one USB Type-C and one USB Type-C to Type-A). The interface is class-compliant for Macs and utilizes a downloadable driver for Windows.
Premium Software Suite
The AIR 192|8 comes complete with an expansive software package—two DAWs, 40 effect plug-ins, virtual instruments, and loops—to kickstart your musical creations.
