Venus Optics Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro Reviews

Lightweight!

I've been wanting a macro lens for a long time, but wasn't sure how much I'd actually use it.When I saw this one that is relatively affordable and with so many good reviews, I decided to make the purchase. I was worried that it's totally manual focus (focus has never been my strong suit); it works beautifully with focus peaking and correct settings. Its form factor is small and lightweight enough that I'll actually use it; yet it's still solidly made. The focal length is perfect for many applications, not just macro. I'm so happy I decided to purchase this lens.

I am extremely pleased with this lens! It goes well beyond my expectations for a lens designed specifically for aps crop sensor cameras, Sony a6100 in my case, not to mention the affordability of such a quality lens. I highly recommend this lens for folks using crop sensor cameras. 5 stars

All I can say is this lens lives up to all the hype it gets in reviews and on YouTube. Crystal clear, sharp images - and as a super macro it more than exceeds expectations. I have a whole new world open for me now. Great general purpose prime lens too.
