FUJIFILM LC-X100V Reviews
A puzzling design
Not sure why Fujifilm decided to take the perfectly-designed case that existed for older models (e.g., for the x100s) and make it worse. In addition to the poor design, the removal of the brown color option is equally as puzzling. As a long-time Fuji owner, it is sad to see this once-beloved brand continue to operate cluelessly.
Missing one important feature
I treated myself to this case after having finally received my Fujifilm X100vi camera. No doubt about it, it’s handsome and extremely well-made. But I was disappointed to discover one missing feature: There is no access to the USB-C port with the case on. I am used to charging my camera and downloading images after a photo shoot. The USB-C port was my preferred method to do this: so easy — simply plug it into my iMac with one cable and I could accomplish both things. Now I have to remove the case each time just to get to the door to the port. Sure, I could get to the bottom hatch without taking the case off to access the battery and the SD card but then I would need to purchase a battery charger and a card reader; extra equipment to have around. The USB cable method is my preferred way. Other than that inconvenience, the case was a welcome purchase.
