    K&M 210/9 reviews

210/9 Tripod Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from You really get what you pay for I initially thought buying a mic stand was a simple deal, after all it was just something to hold up a microphone. But after reading reviews i decided to spend a bit more for the K&M stand vs a cheaper competitor. And since finally setting everything up in the small space that i have in my room, let me just say, this is not just a simple stand! The great thing about this is that everything is adjustable, from the height of the stand to the length of the boom, to the angle of the mic, it even comes with clips for managing the cable. And while doing all that it's extremely stable, and i can easily retract the boom and hide it back in the closet. After this purchase it just goes to show why 100 dollar mic stands exist when you can get one for 30, because they are just that much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Sturdy, Holds Weight I am a videographer doing a lot of interviews and using it mostly for a boom mike which is about 2 and a half pounds. I had so many stands that would wear down super quickly. Use to go through a stand every 2 months with heavy every day use. Soon enough the bad build and plastic parts would start wearing down the thread and it wouldn't hold the weight anymore. This stand is completely opposite. It is stellar. Completely metal and built really well. Also seems to be able to handle quite a bit of weight. I expect it to last for a couple of years. Got it because of all the 5 star reviews and how long it is supposed to last. The only downside to me is that the boom is slightly shorter then standard length that I am used to with other stands, however, I suppose that helps handling all the weight better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best stand I've seen This is a very high quality German-made stand. I like the telescoping boom--slightly shorter than the fixed model, but more compact and less obtrusive when you don't need the extra 3 inches of reach. The clutch on the vertical stand doesn't slip, and the boom won't sag down over time. We're very happy with these. Used for live sound as well as recording.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good Overall construction is excellent. However, with a large diaphram condenser microphone on boom, one has to excessively tighten the arm locking nut to prevent the arm from slowly sagging. Not enough friction in plates I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Stand I can always rely on K&M to have sturdy, well-designed, long-lasting stands. This is my most-used stand type. It has a heaver base than a lot of cheaper brand tripod mic stands and that makes it very stable. This stand has the T-bar tightening assembly on the boom, which makes it a lot easier to tighten--the plastic knob-type is difficult to tighten enough to prevent a heavy mic from making it pull down (especially after extensive use/wear), but the T-bar included with this stand eliminates that issue. I use a K&M 21315 carrying case with them, which protects them well as it separates them each with padding. Don't waste your money with budget stands--invest in these and they'll last you a long time and pay off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid mic stand I am a beginning artist with my small home studio. I was looking for a mic stand that worked for my needs. I found this through other reviews to be good. It was just as advised. I use it in combination with my Blue Bluebird mic and Stedman XL pop filter. It has held up quite well with all the weight at the end of it. It has so many adjustment points to it that I can place it in every position for instruments and vocalists.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great quality. This stand is very tight and sturdy. No rattle, no stability issues. Easy to take down and set up. Worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from for the price it's great; better quality would be more $$$ B&H offers this German made stand at a great price, and for what it is, it is a great deal. It is built well and works great up to a point. But, as another reviewer commented, if you try a Large Diaphragm Condenser mic on this thing extended out on the boom arm, good luck.( I guess we must fork out $300+ for a stand that is sturdy enough to hold a heavy mic out on the end of an extended boom?) Still for this price and quality, it is good and will hold a heavy LDC, just not extended out very far. Plenty of uses and a sturdy feel to the parts.
