A binocular by day, a full-featured night vision device after dark—the Luna Optics LN-G3-B50 6-36x50 Gen 3 Digital Day / Night Vision Binocular is a versatile instrument for law enforcement, security, night hunting and other activities. The LN-G3-B50 uses an 800mW infrared light to illuminate objects in the dark, delivering a maximum nighttime viewing range of more than 650 yards yards. The binocular records 2560 x 1440 video at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps, while maximum photo resolution is 16.1MP. Photos and video are recorded to a microSD card up to 128GB (8GB card included), and can be streamed to iOS or Android devices via the built-in Wi-Fi. A 763-yard laser rangefinder adds another layer of functionality for hunting, tactical, and other purposes. Choose between full color, night-vision green, black-and-white, or amber display on the dual AMOLED-Q quad-pixel screens. The LN-G3-B50 is also a capable optic for daytime use, and a color filter is provided for vivid colors while the sun is up. The LN-G3-B50 is powered by four CR123A batteries, AC power, or an optional external 5V, 2A power pack through a USB Type-C port.

Great night vision.

The night vision with this binocular is much sharper than I expected. At first I thought the view was blurry and I couldn't make anything out. Then I slapped myself in the forehead and focused the lens. I was a pro photog for 44 years before I retired and tried several night vision devices. All were pretty blurry. This is a keeper. Just remember to focus! Ha ha. Later when I get back in town I will add some wildlife pics (if I can edit this review).

This is my first night vision purchase. I wanted something that wasn't complete junk, but I also didn't want to spend thousands. So far so good. It's very easy to use and the image is bright and clear. It seems well made.....time will tell

Well what I did was purchased a less expensive (about $200 dollars) pair of night vision goggles through Amazon, the type where you have a small rectangle TV screen that you look at to see. When I got the package it looked used. It seemed to work ok with night vision when the IR was on, but the video recording would not function, so I returned it for another. I got the new one, and it did the same thing, fortunately I was within the 30 day return window, and was able to get my money back. I wanted good night vision, and was unsure what that was, so I went on a quest of research, and came up with two that fit my price range, one being Luna Optics. I sent both companies emails requesting information, and only Vladimir at Luna Optics came back with what I wanted to know, and even educated me on what night vision was regarding these two units, while not disparaging his competitor. I ended up with Luna Optics, and what a difference in what I had returned, and what I received. These are like real binoculars when looking through them, not like watching a TV screen. Also I looked into the darkness without the IR on, and it seemed as though I was looking at mid day. When I turned the IR on it really lit things up. Wow! Not only that; everything worked right out of the box! I then turned it to the sky, and could see an amazing amount of stars that were not visible in my light polluted sky. I am truly happy with my purchase from B&H, and the help I received from Vladimir. Would definitely buy from again!

THE PRICE DOESN'T MATTER

Luna Optics LN-G3-B50 is an outstanding set of Binocs with night vision. The instruction booklet states read me first is not an option. You want to view items properly READ the booklet first. Once turned on and focused in the binocs visual ability is outstanding. It now comes with neck strap which is a plus. The unit is a bit weighty. The many functions of IR, Zoom, Color , single picture and video record are very favorable. I have a tripod to aide for (record constant ) and this Binoc does come with stabilize to make your recordings pristine. The Binoc also produces a WIFI signal that can (with a downloadable APP) project the image to your Smart phone or Tablet with clarity. the unit does comes with a carry case, set of non rechargeable batteries, a 8Gb Micro SD card, Usb cable, a neck strap, and RCA Video cable. The cost of this ITEM JUST DOESN'T MATTER. This items with all the bells and whistles is well worth the money for hours of night vision photography.

These are great quality for the price. They feel solid and the magnification and night vision settings allow you to view a decent amount of detail in wildlife that you otherwise would not be able to see.

The binocular housing is made from molded lightweight thermoplastic. The front lens assemblies are made of aluminum.

does it use battery during the day? how long does the batteries work?

Since it is a digital device, it employs an image sensor and image display, therefore batteries are always required to operate the device regardless of what time of the day/night it is. Typical 2pcs of CR123A will work anywhere between 3hrs and 5hrs depending on the image display brightness, use of IR illuminator, video/wi-fi activation etc. We recommend powering the binocular via USB port with 5V/2A power bank device (similar to those used to charge cellphones). In this case working time can be extended up to 10-15hrs, depending on the power bank capacity.
