Enjoy high-quality audio without distractions thanks to the Shure AONIC 50, a pair of wireless, over-ear headphones styled in black. These headphones are designed to deliver a 20-hour battery life, noise cancellation, and a pleasurable sound. They do this over Bluetooth 5.0, giving you a range of up to 30' from your computer, phone, or tablet.

The headphones make use of 50mm dynamic drivers that utilize neodymium magnets and produce a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 22 kHz. A 3.5mm cable is included for battery-saving wired operation, as is a USB Type-C cable for charging and for listening to hi-res audio.

Active noise cancellation attenuates the background noise, so you can curate an immersive listening experience as you go about your day. You can also play/pause your music, adjust the volume, and answer phone calls with the push of a button.

Ultra Comfortable

These are one of the few pair of headphones that I can wear for any extended length of time without getting painful pressure points on my head or around my ears. Not only are they comfortable though, but also sound great. These have a very crisp, clear, articulate sound that really allows the listener to hear voices and musical instruments with the finest details left intact. I especially enjoy that these don't have over-hyped bass response that rattles your skull and gives you a headache in short order, but also tends to muddy up the rest of the frequency range. In short, if you want wireless noise-cancelling headphones with a detailed, neutral frequency response, then these are the headphones for you.

Almost perfect

The headset is comfortable, very good, clear and neutral sound if this is what you're looking for. ANC, well, it's not great compared to the top two units Sony MX3 and Bose 700. Call quality is good. People can hear me when I'm in a nice quiet environment, but with a little background noise or other people talking, people find it difficult to hear me and I'm competing for their focus. ANC, on or off, makes almost no difference. It washes out low white noise, and anything out of that range, will be heard. With it on, music is amplified a little (louder). For their environment sound, I like it more than the Sony. Vocals are clear and loud and comes through well. Sony has better control of the environment noise which makes the voice not as clear. In a very quiet environment, I can hear some talking faintly, sometimes clearly, from another room, about 20 ft away. That's how awesome the mics can pick up on voice. Love all the codecs, the multi-point Bluetooth (works very well), switching between my android and apple phone.. it's basically everything I was looking for including the analog 3.5mm and usb-c connector. I think if Shure can update ANC for mics via firmware, I think I would give these a 5. It's my only complaint when using it in any environment with people talking or more than a fan blowing. Overall, if you are looking for neutral, clear, great music, as your priority, call quality second (mic ANC isn't great. People can still hear ambient sound, specially voices and mid-high tones/frequencies), and then ANC, these are for you. Also wish Shure included a nicer case. The round case makes it much bigger and less portable. But, if you have a large backpack, and it's not to stuffed, problem solved. If you are looking for great call quality with really good ANC mics, as your 1st priority, then ANC (I couldn't take the ANC on these, I always had to use it at level 1 out of 10. Anything higher, it produce cabin pressure in my ears and sometimes gave me headaches), then music (I consider these lack luster neutral sounds), then consider the Bose 700. If your priority is best ANC, then music with a bit of more bass thumping and your everyday music, and last priority is call quality, go with the Sony. Hope this helps.

Expensive But So Far Worth It

Comfortable, great sound, can pair with computer and phone simultaneously, long battery life, well made. Bought it with Aurax desk stand which I am happy about since it protects it on my desk and looks good and makes sure it is there to grab when a call comes in.

Wonderful Sound!

I waited for something with the right specs: Bluetooth 5, high end codecs and good reviews. To me, these were well worth the wait!

Lives up to its specs as multipoint ANC phones

I bought these for my son, who needed a wireless ANC headphones given his at-times noisy living situation. I opted for this pair vs the Sennheiser Momentum 3 and the Sony WH-1000XM4 as it didn't have gimmicky (gesture) controls or auto turn on/off features that didn't always work based on other reviews. And support for all the codecs is great even if not all are needed at the moment. My son was able to pair his phone and computer easily with pairings staying connected and not disconnecting randomly. In addition, the Shure switched automatically from PC to phone with incoming calls and then reverted back to PC afterwards without issue. He also used it on a plane trip and said the ANC worked great, even with a crying baby a few rows away. The only quibble I have is that the audio quality is not as good as I'd hoped, even when connected through the analog audio cable. I am a long time Sennheiser over-the-ear headphone user and the sound quality of the Shure is not as neutral nor as open compared to my (quite old) HD580.

Headband and Earcups too Small - Going Back

By Mark

Really wanted to like these headphones, but the headband doesn't extend enough for my head, and combined with the round earcups, this makes use uncomfortable shortly after wearing. The earcups pinch the bottom of my ears and it's all I can think about as I listen to music. A real shame, because the sound is terrific over LDAC. Never got to try out the USB-C listening since I knew these were going back, but that's a great feature you won't find in similar top-performing models. During the testing and design process, I guess Shure never thought to test these out on people with larger heads like mine (7-3/4 hat size). I usually don't like leaving hyper-critical reviews of products, but I feel like this is a good PSA for those of us with larger heads. Not like companies provide sizing information on their over-ear headphones, so we take it for granted. But if you have a large, egg-shaped head, definitely find a way to try these in-person before buying. Also, the carrying case will absolutely dominate whatever bag you put them in. If you like to travel light, the footprint may not be to your liking.
