To facilitate easier slide and specimen changes, the four-position nosepiece is set in a reverse position so the unused objectives face away from the user.

The head is equipped with dual wide-field 10x eyepieces that, when combined with the objectives, produce magnifications from 40x to 1000x. Its dual-speed coaxial focuser provides a fast and easy way to achieve tack-sharp views. A large stage has integrated rulers and a slide/specimen holder to make it easy to view a variety of specimen types. The lower LED illumination is sent through a Köhler optical system to ensure even lighting with a rheostat to control the intensity. The light is further directed through an adjustable-height 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm to give you extreme control of the light coming through to the stage. Utilizing current LED technology delivers higher light efficiency than a conventional tungsten bulb with a cool operating temperature that prolongs specimen life when viewing live material.
