Observe your unstained samples in a completely new way with the BRESSER Darkfield Condenser for oil immersion-rated microscope objectives. This condenser replaces the stock one and illuminates your specimen with light that would not be collected by the objective lens, producing a dark, almost black background where only the specimen is illuminated. Dark-field microscopy is a simple and effective technique that enhances the contrast of specimens and is ideal for observing live and unstained translucent biological samples, such as a tissue culture or water-borne single-celled organisms. Because a portion of the incoming light is blocked, the sample must be strongly illuminated, which can cause damage to it. This condenser has a numerical aperture (NA) of 1.35 (oil) and requires a 28mm table opening.
