Does it support all types of software?? Is it good for engineering students??? Should we buy every software from the apple store like arudino, raspberry pi etc..
Asked by: Hemanth kumar
The computer can support any type of software as long as it satisfies the system requirements. It's a basic computer so it may not be good for an engineering student. You may need to consider a Mac with a dedicated graphics card like the 16" MacBook Pro computers. If the software you are looking for is available on Apple's app store, you can purchase the software from there. Otherwise you can purchase/install software directly from the manufacturer's website.

I am considering switching from Windows OS to Mac ...

I am considering switching from Windows OS to Mac OS, what is B&H return policy on the Macbook Air if Mac OS does not work out for me?
Asked by: Gregory
Gregory, I got my first Mac (iMac) 4 years ago (still running strong). Here are some things in hindsight: - I found a majority of my issues were in Finder, which I still find somewhat lacking as a file manager. Pressing 'Enter' on a highlighted file is a RENAME, so be careful! - Learn the difference between 'Close' and 'Quit'. TIP: Always QUIT your browser. - I got a few good tips from the Missing Manual from O'Reilly books. Check out the one for MacOS Catalina. - I use LibreOffice just as I did in Windows and it works well on my iMac and my 2017 MacBook Air (non-Retina). Overall I like MacOS, but, like any OS, it didn't drop straight from heaven! :-) I have had the Mail app refuse to quit and MacOS won't shut down in that case, so I had to hold down the power button for 5 seconds to do a hard shut down. It's rare but does happen (but not nearly as often as Windows). Good luck!

Asked by: James
Yes, it's on the right side. I know, they don't show you an image of that side here at B&H, but if you use the 360-degree view and spin it around you can see it.
