The black, 8" Electro-Voice EVC-1082-96 is an 800W two-way passive PA installation speaker that's designed for a wide bandwidth, vertical and horizontal directivity control, and high efficiency are required in a compact, cost-effective package. 

The speaker provides 90 x 60° coverage and 120 dB of maximum SPL—plenty of volume for smaller venues including houses of worship, conference centers, performance spaces, and meeting rooms. Use an 800W (peak) amplifier to power the 1.25" titanium dome compression driver and 8” woofer, and the EVC-1082-96 will deliver crisp, detailed sound with a wide frequency response from 21 kHz down to 75 Hz.

The high-frequency compression driver is directly coupled to a rotatable constant directivity waveguide that delivers uniform pattern control and smooth, linear response. Additionally, the waveguide may be rotated for a horizontal deployment of the speaker, which allows the speaker to maintain the 90 x 60° dispersion.

The enclosure is made from 15mm plywood with an EVCoat finish. The rear panel includes a dual four-pin Phoenix/Euroblock screw terminal that accepts a speaker cable up to 10 AWG in diameter and allows for daisy-chaining additional speakers. There are eight M10 suspension points for installing the speaker in a horizontal or vertical deployment.
