Clips tend to come loose and fall out, making it difficult to hold anything. Also, it would be nice if there was clear plastic option, since black reflects in polished surfaces very prominently.

First of all the unit i received doesn't look exact like how it shows on B&H, a few days in use the base became a little loose and while i tried to tighten it, the round base got completely separated from the arm and now its basically useless

I got this to hold some products for Macro. I had to install heat shrink on the aligator clamps to protect the product. The entire thing wobbles and isn't very stable. Its impossible to make small adjustments. however all that said it holds items and does that good enough.

Worksgreat for holding small objects in the studio: mirrors, small reflector cards and subjects such as flowers or small objects. Magnet in base is very powerful - but does take up a fair amount of real estate. Clips are heavy duty and sturdy.

I have no complaints. The arms seem sturdy, the base has a very strong magnet in it. Comes with a steel plate that you can mount to any surface, and then attach the magnet base to.
