4 Beamforming Antennas
The Archer AX50 features 4 external high-gain antennas with beamforming technology, which focuses signal strength towards the devices that actively access the router.
Save Battery with TWT
TWT stands for Target Wake Time, which is a technology that's meant to preserve your mobile device's battery life. TWT schedules when your compatible devices will power on to send and receive data. This helps your devices sleep longer and thereby decrease battery usage.
Network Security with HomeCare
TP-Link's HomeCare software is specially designed to both protect your sensitive data and give you detailed control over network access. Here are some of the capabilities of HomeCare:

Built-in anti-virus to help protect your sensitive data
Parental controls that let you restrict time spent online and block inappropriate content
Prioritize network traffic to optimize the speed of specific devices and applications
App-Based Setup
With TP-Link's Tether app for Android and iOS devices, you can conveniently setup and manage your network via a smartphone or tablet.
Voice Commands with Alexa
The Archer AX50 also supports router management via voice commands and Amazon's Alexa digital assistant.

TP-Link Refurbished Reviews

So far so good

Lost connection a few times, but that seems to have leveled out. We'll see how it does long term.

Router is unstable

First issue: After setting up the router and bringing all wired and wireless devices online, the device lists in both wired and wireless categories intermittently lose devices. This happens on the web and app interfaces. It is very annoying when trying to reserve IP addresses and use advanced functionality. The second issue is that devices bounce in and out of the available networks lists of all connected devices. The third issue is that the router periodically has difficulty authenticating devices. Sometimes it says can't authenticate, and other times it just rolls to another network. Very annoying compared with our AC1900 device from Linksys.

My research findings on the best router online was not wrong. It has not disappointed since its first installation and setup. It's range is greater than the one I received from the cable company and I'm glad I returned that one.

My friend sent me a link for this item. I was skeptical. I got it in the mail and set it up with my modem. I've had dreams before but rarely when it comes to my WiFi capabilities. Honestly telling all of my friends about this product and site.

As fancy as this router is, one can not connect a printer to the USB port. The update is no longer available. Makers of cheaper models are able to connect printer.

Very Disappointed

Just as quickly as I could migrate devices to our new network, I stumbled on a problem - the connected devices weren't showing up on the router's connected device list. The problem appears intermittent as some show up, then don't, but we've never had a complete list. I see online that other users have the same problem (with no available solution). Unfortunately the TP-Link service desk is full of random questions like what operating systems is on my phone, but otherwise completely ineffective after one call and five emails. In addition to this annoying matter, the networks (2.4G and 5G each for the router, a TP-Link RE, and a Linksys AP) randomly show up on our devices' available networks lists. Notwithstanding, I consistently see all my neighbors' networks :). I gave the X50 two stars because the speed and bandwidth appear strong, the RE connectivity appears consistant, and overall the network is functioning. The setup and UI on app and web are weak compared with my old Linksys router. Port forwarding was a breeze, but I haven't jumped into QOS or privacy controls (other than to blacklist two random devices that showed after migration). The pricing and service from B&H was great, but at the end of the day I wouldn't recommend the X50 to a friend.
