Awesome gaming monitor. Best when using display port. It's a big screen but i sit around 4 feet from my monitor and it works great.

I was tired of life. Work has been rough, home is mayhem. I needed something to spark the life in me again. For someone who has pretty much everything he wants, I was thinking...what's the next dumb purchase I can make? I decided to rebuild some computers with updated components.
Man! Technology has come so far since my early building days back in the 90's! And this screen was the perfect finishing touch! Huge screen. Beautiful colors, with HDR. What more can you ask for? This monitor is amazing. Mine came perfect. No dead pixels, no scratches, nada. The layout is similar to that of a TV, but it's a monitor, so the mouse doesn't lag at all. Rather than having multiple monitors, I can have one large one and have the different windows on each corner. Great resolution, this monitor is something else. The RGB on the monitor is a nice touch, as well, with cool lights coming from the back of the monitor to your desk. Paired with a 3090, this takes not just gaming, but the quality of life to another level.
I was amazed. I can have a large form factor so other people can view my screen with ease. With HDR, I can see images of products with the exact color my vendors intended. If I want to game, I get sick resolution with sick FPS. The blacks are good, the colors are good, life is good. Cheers to Asus! Salut!

These days, if a product actually works as designed and advertized, I suppose it receives 5 stars. My PG43U(Q?) does. The pricing is somewhat crazy, but so is the covisdstan world, and hence my lack of giving a squat about spending so much on a monitor. Life is short, there are few really good moments in it for most of humanity, and this monitor has helped to bring me some. Just buy it!
BIG Nerdy 43" 4K, 144Hz

I like BIG, My eyes thank me due to my age. I'd never even owned a 4K TV, now I have both a 43" 4K Monitor and 50" 4K TV. I unpacked the expensive 43" 4k monitor carefully, followed the instructions, set it up, used a highspeed "4K" displayport cable, downloaded the Aura Creator and installed it so that the colorful LOGO light would display itself anywhere you want, use is optional.
If you want to use 144Hz refresh rate, I do, you have to manually select it yourself in MS Windows or whatever OS you use. I'm a casual open world games gamer, Fallout4, Skyrim SE so this BIG 43" monitor is Great for scenery, eye candy, details. If your a Call Of Duty gamer play fast paced games you may want to use a smaller monitor or two smaller monitors paired together. The 43" size of this monitor will require a wider range of eye movement.
One issue I have with this monitor: the built-in speakers are producing random static noises so I'm using desktop speakers and headphones, they work fine.
The monitor? I like it, works as advertised, 4K, 144Hz.

I don't see a way to edit my existing review so here goes. This monitor is constantly going black during gaming or simply doesn't turn on first thing in the morning. This happens regardless of the attached hardware or cabling which I have swapped out many times. Lowering the refresh rate, even to 60Hz lessens the symptoms but doesn't eliminate the problem. I also have a 32 HP attached to my 3080 and it works 100% of the time. Google this monitor before you buy it.

Outstanding out of the box. Using DP 1.4, very little adjustment to get a gorgeous picture. I hooked it it up to my Macbook too via displayport to usb-c and I was still able to get a beautiful rich colors. Text was never a problem on PC or MAC. It really chine in high refresh rate gaming as it delivers very smooth amazing colors. Before I get this, I had 34" ultrawide 1440p high refresh rate. This one blew it out of the water. Initially, I thought , based on the reviews I watched, I will need to mount this a little further from my desk due to its size. I order the mount before the monitor but, this monitor has been sitting on my desk for weeks now. I may end up mount it on the wall behind my desk but, I don't necessarily think that it is a must. great all around day to day gaming monitor. I am not a pro and I use this monitor for gaming and web browsing plus light productivity work.

Perfect panel with no dead/bright pixels. Excellent build quality. Great display for high end PC gaming with stunning color, clarity, and depth. You will need a high performance GPU to drive this unit but if you have one you will be quite happy. It is quite large so be sure you have the space for it.
