Would this work to transfer from a Canon 50D dslr if a person had a high-speed USB 2.0 A-Male to Mini-B cable? My canon has the USB mini port.
Asked by: mike
Unsure. Normally a computer is required to serve as a gateway to transferring files to a any drive, be it on the computer itself OR an external USB drive plugged into the computer. I don't know if there is a camera, including your Canon, that can directly recognize a SSD plugged into it.

Can I use the Apple Thunderbolt3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter to connect to Mac with Thunderbolt 2 ports?
Asked by: Kenneth
Yes, you can use the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter from Apple to connect a Thunderbolt 3 device to a Thunderbolt 2 computer. ... The Thunderbolt 3 device has to be a self-powered device. Bus-powered devices like the T3-10G are not supported. Power delivery is not supported. I would double check through Apple support and/or forum. Good Luck !
