Elvid STV-280-4K Overview

This 28" StudioVision 4K HDMI Monitor with HDR is a valuable asset in the studio or on location, providing critical image assessment tools and supporting standard as well as HDR monitoring of your image. Well suited to handle the rigors of the production day, the monitor is housed in a flight case with removable front and rear lids providing access to the monitor's controls and connections when in use. Its 3840 x 2160 10-bit panel supports up to UHD 4K60 via its two HDMI 2.0 inputs and UHD 4K30 via its two HDMI 1.4 inputs. The TFT panel reproduces over 1 billion colors and has a 170° Horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angle, which prevents color and contrast shifts when the monitor is viewed off-axis, a plus when several people gather around the monitor.

Additional inputs for HD and VESA sources include 3G-SDI (with loop-through), DVI, and VGA. Video signals input via any of these ports will be properly scaled to fit the entire screen. A multiview feature enables you to choose between single, dual top/bottom, dual left/right, and quad input displays. Listen to analog audio from the RCA inputs or embedded digital audio from video inputs using the monitor's built-in speakers or the 3.5mm headphone output.

Power the STV-280-4KHDR in the field using V-mount batteries and the integrated battery plate, or in the studio via the 4-pin XLR port and the AC power supply. The 75/100mm VESA patterns and support feet provide alternative mounting options for the monitor. The included tally connector passes tally information through to the monitor when connected to a switcher. A case-mounted sunshade with hook-and-loop fasteners is included for optimal viewing on exterior locations.

Features
  • UHD 3840 x 2160 10-bit LCD panel
  • Multiview display function
  • Supports up to UHD 4K, HD, and SD resolutions

  • Please note that HDR10 metadata processing is only supported on HDMI input #1
  • The TFT LCD screen provides consistent contrast and color, even when viewing the monitor from off-axis up/down or side/side; this is an important feature when several people are evaluating the image
  • Housed in a hard travel case for field use
  • V-mount battery plate and AC power supply included
  • Can be rack-mounted, VESA-mounted, or used without the case on a flat surface
