SanDisk ImageMate PRO USB Type-C Reviews

Worked Great for 2 weeks

The speeds were fast and I like how it has multiple slots. But Do NOT travel with this. Within a couple weeks, the connection started acting finicky and then stopped connecting entirely. Definitely would not recommend to purchase if you are looking for a portable reader.

Worst card reader... Do not buy

The back of this card reader has poor design. The rear breaks within a month of use rendering it completely useless. Chucked all three I bought in the garbage within 3 months of purchase date.

I purchased three of these as I edit on the go and need backups at different locations. All three stopped working within a month of purchasing. DO NOT BUY THESE. Poor rear connection design.

Beware, this card reader after 3 uses didn't work anymore

Worked great while it worked. I've been using it for a little over 6 months and the cable plug no longer works. I could move the plug around to get it to work for a few weeks and now nothing. Just ordered a different card reader. but Like I said... it did work great while it was working. It transfers files quickly. The problem with mine may never happen to yours.

I'm happy I dont have to feel around blind reaching behind my computer. Sturdy, rubber feet to prevent slipping, strong material. Easy to install and use.

Perfect

If you are using CF cards in addition to SD & micro versions and want to plug it directly into your M1 or similar computer with no problem, this Multi-card reader is perfect.

Pretty good, but clumsy to use.

These are useful card readers, but they slide around easily, are often subject to movement by their bulky cords, and feel kind of cheap, both externally and in the way you load and unload cards. But... I haven't found anything better.

Can you buy a longer cable for this? The cable that's included is far too short for my PC which sits underneath my desk.
Asked by: Jessica
If you are looking for a longer USB cable for the SanDisk ImageMate PRO USB Type-C Multi-Card Reader/Writer, if your computer has the newer (oval, bi-directional) USB-C port, then the SecureData Micro-USB 3.2 Gen 2 Male to USB Type-C Male Cable (1'), B&H # SEUSBMBCC, would be a 1 ft (30.5 cm) long cable, whereas the Rocstor USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C to Micro-USB Type-B Cable (3'), B&H # ROY10C146B1, would be a 3 ft (0.9 m) long cable. If your computer uses the older (rectangular, one-way) USB-A port, the NewerTech Micro-USB 3.0 Male to USB 3.0 Type-A Male Cable (18"), B&H # NEWTUSBAMB18, would be an 18-inch (45.7 cm) long cable, whereas the Pearstone USB 3.0 Type-A Male to Micro Type-B Male Cable (3'), B&H # PEUSB3AMIB3, would be a 3 ft (0.9 m) long cable.

Not without purchasing a separate Type A to Type C adapter. It comes with a Micro (that goes into the Reader) to USB Type C cable. So out of the box, No you can not.
