I won't add to what's already been written by the usual suspects: Matt, Reggie, Ken, Leigh, Hugh. Check them out if you're looking for expert opinions on the X100V. Yes, the waiting time is very long, but B&H came through as always. I added a SanDisk SD Card, Nisi filter/hood and Expert Shield. They are all excellent. This camera is with me more and more often and I'm very pleased with the Jpegs.

Best. Compact. Camera. Ever.

I've have been waiting for a while for this camera to come back in stock and I must say it was more than worth the wait. Probably the best compact camera money can buy. When it comes back in stock, don't hesitate, just buy it!

Makes photography fun

This camera is so much fun to use, a small powerhouse perfect for street, travel, or just general on-the-go shooting. I primarily shoot zoom lenses on my GFX and X series cameras, so having a prime lens has been a fun change up. And b/c of the style of shooting this camera is fun for, I actually find myself using more of the jpg film sims and not even worrying about editing in post. Besides the fun factor, you can read all the tech specs on the product page and know this lives up to all the hype mechanically. And, it looks really cool.

Old School Ergonomics, Superior Picture Quality

Don't get me wrong but on some outings, I still carry my Nikon D850 with lenses like the 70-200 2.8. In fact I plan to bring my D850 for up coming trips to Antartica and Africa (safari). But for 95% of my other international travels, my Fujifilm x100v provides beautiful pictures that as just as good as the ones I get out of a full frame SLR without the bulk. Oh and did I mention the impressive Fuji film simulations? I used to shoot extensively with both Provia and Velvia so it's nice to be able to replicate those colors on the fly. But I also shoot RAW and process most of my pictures in Lightroom and doing it that way allows pictures out of the x100v to rival those from my Nikon D850.

Like the camera. Hate the Fuji app that pairs camera to cell phone.

I've been disappointed in the iphone 13 pro when trying to get good pictures on hikes; but I also don't want to lug my canon mirrorless. This is the perfect in-between and light enough to have on you at all times- and the IQ is great!

Yes. The X100V uses a leaf shutter rather than a focal plane shutter.

Is it worth it to buy the telephoto adapter?

Is it worth it to buy the telephoto adapter?
Asked by: Francine
Might be a good idea. You can go from a 35mm equivalent to a 50 equivalent, which would take you to the traditional "normal" focal length and bring subjects in a little tighter. Expensive, but I've heard the quality is very good. A 35mm equivalent, which is the focal length of the lens on the X100V, used to be considered wide angle, but has been adopted as a more normal lens in more modern times.

There is no longer a "view mode" button as there was on the x100F. Is it possible to set the x100v to "viewfinder only", so as not to wait for it to switch over to EVF when you hold it up to your eye?
Asked by: Brandon
For the most direct way to set this up see page 207 of the manual. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1542674-REG/fujifilm_x100v_digital_camera_black.html

Is this worth getting if I already have a Nikon Z6 and several lenses? Will it be a steep learning curve if I've never used a range finder- like camera before?
Asked by: Michael
There isn't much of a learning curve, the viewfinder position may throw you off - but as someone who is firmly invested in a mirrorless system, I feel that the Fujifilm X100 Series is great when you want to carry lighter and simplify your shooting. I find it perfect for travel and street photography.
