ANDYCINE C7 Reviews

Love it - so far

I bought this thing to replace my older 450 nit monitor, and it's a huge difference (see photo). I love the touchscreen, I love all the functions, it's very useful and handy. But I've just taken it out of the box, and I've read some reviews that it's not reliable. So we'll see. Meanwhile, I've put a cage around it: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1703385-REG/smallrig_3837_monitor_cage_kit_for.html Which I highly recommend. That seems to make it less likely to get damaged. I'm thinking the (plastic-mounted) HDMI ports would be the most susceptible to damage, so the cage clamps should solve that problem.

Does everything well

Really a pleasure to use. Put two batteries in it and power your camera from it and you can shoot a long time.

can the c7 be used to power the black magic pcc 6k ?
Asked by: Anthony
You will need to use an external battery that has an additional port so that you can connect a cable with a dummy battery or a 2-pin LEMO cable from the battery to the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.

Will I be able to monitor my a7iv while I record at 4k at 60fps and 1080 at 120fps with this device
Asked by: laura
The ANDYCINE C7 7" HDMI Ultrabright Touchscreen Monitor with 3D LUTs, Waveform & L-Series Plate only accepts an input of up to 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. With that being said, most cameras offer the ability to set the HDMI output to be something different than what the camera is recording.

I use autofocus on Canon EOS R by tapping the screen. If I use an external monitor, can I still use autofocus? I heard that the screen of the camera shuts off. Is this true?
Asked by: Jerry
Before connecting an external monitor to the EOS R make sure you have the clean HDMI setting set to on. That way the on camera screen will not turn off. Then you can use the touch focus on the on camera screen.

Have a sony a6600. Can I use hdmi output of the camera to the monitor and then use hdmi cable to connect monitor to my desktop which will be used for zoom meetings?
Asked by: Ozzie
The HDMI port on your computer is output only, unless you have a capture card built into your system (like this PCIe one:https://bhpho.to/2VTwdj1). You will need a capture card (via PCIe or USB) for your computer/desktop/laptop: https://bhpho.to/2VTwdj1 Once you have a capture card, you may daisy-chain it from the A6600 to the monitor to the computer (via the capture card's HDMI-to-USB input).

can I connect hdmi output of the monitor to my desktop and use it for zoom?.
Asked by: Ozzie
The HDMI output will pass the video signal to another destination however you will need either an external or internal capture device/card to get the video sent from this monitor into your computer. you can find some of the capture cards/devices here https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/Computer-Video-Hardware/ci/16557/N/4231656263?filters=fct_a_filter_by%3A03_INSTOCK%2Cfct_interface_1202%3Aexternal-usb-3.0-capture%7Cexternal-usb-c-capture%7Cexternal-usb-capture%7Cpcie%7Cpcie-2.0%7Cpcie-2.0-x8%7Cpcie-3.0%7Cpcie-x4%7Cpcie-x8%7Cusb-3.0%2Cfct_video-input_2106%3Ahdmi
