Alternatively, the Swift800 Pro lets you link up to four mobile devices to the transmitter over Wi-Fi in RTSP mode to allow multi-user monitoring with a latency of 170-220ms. This is done via the companion iOS/Android app, which also allows you to record the video. Both the transmitter and receiver have a DC power supply input, an L-series battery plate, and a USB Type-C port for connecting a power bank. An optional NP-F970 battery provides up to 6 hours of power for the transmitter and up to 8 hours for the receiver. The Swift800 Pro system operates over the 5 GHz frequency band and uses the H.264 codec.

Both the transmitter and receiver have a 1/4"-20 mounting thread on the bottom, and mounting accessories are included for both units.

Crystal Video Technology Swift800 Reviews

LATENCY is an issue and I had high hopes.

There's a review below and the guy is impressed with the latency of this unit. Well, if you need an AC to pull focus on a paying gig THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE with production gear like a slider or a gimbal. It seems like at least a 1/2 second or more latency. We shoot music videos and this unit is a nightmare to chase focus. Selling this thing asap.

I bought two of these products, they work good by not great all the time. They do take a second to sync up and do pass what you give it. I did have one LCD screen on one of them go out on one of them only a couple weeks in, and I'm asking B&H to replace it, so far so good.

It worked, then it didn't at a wedding.

I had high hopes for this system being able to use this to livestream a multi-day wedding to families around the world. I had the Holland 400 Pro and that was a solid system with more legible readout, but opted for more distance as the weddings can travel over 400ft with walls inside of grand ballrooms and hall types of settings, thus the switch to the Swift800. Transmissions were good enough to livestream using Vimeo. Latency is always a thing and was with in our tolerance levels. The output ports and Sony battery made that a no-brainer. The readout is small, but you only had two or 3 options as well as the channel number was all that is to the Swift800. Testing this system to 600-800 ft was not even possible as the system died at a very critical point that was extremely frustrating! My saving grace was being able to switch to a HDMI cable and was able to resume my livestream right before the wedding. I may have just gotten a bad device, but I paid for it in terms of failing when I needed it most.

I purchased these and wish I would have gone with something more reliable like the Hollylands units my friends have. Hard to get to connect and unreliable when connected, even over a very short (30') distance.

How would you compare to a Hollyland Mars 400, Teradek 500 and others?
Asked by: Max
The customer feedback on the Mars 400 units has been fairly positive. The Teradek 500 series has had a longer period of exposure on the market and is generally considered a higher level system by industry professionals, but the decision of which would be the proper wireless video system for one's given application is solely dependant on the user's requisites for "critical" content acquisition -- in other words, whether or not the signal is being sent for recording purposes or whether it is being transmitted for monitoring only.

Is it possible to have multiple receivers in using the RX in addition to 3 smart devices for example ?
Asked by: Alice
No, with the Crystal Video Technology Swift800 Pro SDI & HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System (B&H# CRSWIFT800PR) one must choose either RTSP mode (for transmission to up to four iOS/Android devices) or Point-to-Point mode (for transmission to the receiver). One cannot use both modes simultaneously.

Unfortunately we do not have any specific tests for how long these batteries will last on a 970 battery. This Transmitter/Reciever combo will work with any third party NP-F style battery.
