MSI B550-A PRO Overview

Focus on business programs and optimize your workflow with the B550-A PRO ATX Motherboard from MSI. Designed to streamline assembly time, MSI allows you to focus on components that will enhance workload efficiency. The B550-A Pro is ideal for the DIY users who wish to replace older out-of-date motherboards or enjoy building from scratch.

Based upon AMD B550 chipset architecture, the B550-A Pro's AM4 socket allows you to install Ryzen 5000, 3000, and Ryzen 4000 G-series processors. Four dual-channel memory slots allow you to take advantage of DDR4 memory modules with speeds up to 4400 MHz. You can connect several hard drives with six SATA III and two M.2 ports for enhanced program loading and increasing overall performance. Install graphics, sound, or networking cards with one PCIe 4.0 x16, one PCIe 3.0 x16, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. An RJ45 port is also available for wired internet connectivity, and with 7.1-channel high-definition audio, you can experience a wide range of entertainment. This motherboard is only compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit) operating systems.

User Friendly Design
Whether you are a seasoned or amateur builder, the B550-A Pro is designed for simplicity and durability, giving you all the tools you need to put together a PC optimized for your business level needs. Steel armor PCIe slots are reinforced with heavy soldered connections to prevent bending along with an XL clip for easy device swapping. Double ESD protection prevents shorts by adding another grounding layer to mounting holes. Additionally, an EZ debug LED system tells you if components are experiencing any issues, reducing time spent on troubleshooting.
Enhanced Performance
MSI constructed the B550-A Pro with enhanced features to increase system performance. The foundation of this board is built on 2oz thickened copper printed circuits for increased durability and conductivity between components. Extended heatsink design and M.2 Shield Frozr technology keeps your high-end components safe from damage caused by excessive heat. Core Boost, DDR4 Boost, Digital PWM, and Lightning Gen 4 all work together to provide better stability during increased workloads while also maximizing transfer-speed bandwidth. Enrich your media experience with MSI's Audio Boost and 4K support, providing clear visuals and crisp sound.
MSI Dragon Center
Take control of advanced motherboard features directly from your dashboard with MSI's free Dragon Center software. Giving you total fan control, overclock settings, and hardware monitoring, you can fine-tune your experience depending on your needs. You can also set up specific user scenarios, automatic live updates, and adjust monitor settings for customizable brightness and color adjusting.

Allow me to start off by saying that the shipping process was FAST. I received this board in less than a week! The board itself is exactly as expected when it came to the technical specifications, along with the color scheme. Images of the product match the colors on the board perfectly. Thanks B&H!

Box arrived odorous, with some visible moist spots. Board would not boot, despite trying multiple chips and bios versions. I believe it was DOA.
