A fast, versatile prime, this 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens from Sigma is designed for use with L-mount mirrorless cameras. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and also affords extensive control over depth of field for using selective focus techniques. The optical design features a pair of aspherical elements, along with one high-refractive index element, which significantly reduce spherical aberrations and distortion for increased clarity and definition for notably sharp image quality. Also, a Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to control lens flare and ghosting in strong lighting conditions. Additionally, benefitting both stills shooting and video recording, this compact prime also incorporates a stepping AF motor for smooth, near-silent autofocus performance.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Reviews
Lack of IS problematic
The lens is very sharp and with good contrast, but the lack of IS can be a problem under low light conditions, even shooting at f1.4
Great prime
Perfect prime lens for every day shooting on Sony E mount. Good for first timers and pros alike
Great lens!
I am using this on a Sony A6400 and it works well. The only negative is that it is pretty large on the Sony body. My copy is sharp in the center but the edges drop off but not in an unusable way.
Sigma 30mm 1.4 for Leica CL
This Sigma lens offers terrific image quality when paired with the Leica CL. I chose it because it got good reviews. I am really pleased. Shipped fast by B&H !
Autofocus speed is epic
Super fast AF, awesomely shots with nice bokeh. Absolutely the best bank for your buck
Sharp and easy to carry
Sharp in low light and easy to carry
Perfect for street photography
Fantastic little lens for the price. It isn't perfect optically (especially rough chromatic aberration) but you know that when you're spending this much. Very sharp around 80% of the frame with softer edges. Very inconspicuous which makes it perfect for street photos or events where you don't want to look like a pro.
Sigma 30mm ef-m (m50 MK ii)
