In comparison to the 10" version from 8Sinn, this shorter and thinner plate is more ideal for balancing smaller camera setups, as opposed to large setups with large lenses. The plate is designed with cutouts throughout its length so that it can be more lightweight. In this minimalist design made out of a single piece of aluminum, the plate offers reinforced 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, a release pin, and a stopper screw.
