The Heritage Audio Baby RAM is a passive monitor control for pro audio purposes. It offers a transparent signal path designed to preserve your signal at all monitoring levels. Use the four-gang, 24-step rotary switch to control your volume, ensuring that your stereo image never wanders. When you plug the Baby RAM into your monitor path, you will not experience insertion loss or any other drop in signal strength commonly associated with passive monitoring controls.
The Baby RAM offers two sets of stereo inputs and stereo outputs. TRS 1/4" connections are balanced for most stereo gear, but they also work with unbalanced connection points. Switch among balanced or unbalanced operation on the rear. Gold-plated TRS jacks are utilized to ensure a strong connection. The Baby RAM provides Input Selection, Output Selection, Dim, Mute, Mono, and Volume controls. No power adapter is included, as this is an entirely passive design and thus requires no power whatever to run.

The best passive volume controller out there
If you are in a situation where you need inline stereo volume control this is the only unit worth considering. Build quality is a straight 10 of 10, audio signal path is completely pure and the chicken head knob gives it a tactile, classic feel. This is one of the best units I have ever used for volume control. The signal path is pure, the stepped volume adjustment ensures your LR signals are ALWAYS attenuated the same and introduces NO distortion. Forget about scratchy wiper pots, forget about wobbly knobs, no need for a clunky wall wart power supply just a volume knob when and where you need it. the Mute/Dim/Mono features are great editions to the unit as well.
