Pelican 1525 Air Overview

Built for strength and portability, the yellow Pelican 1525AirNF Hard Carry Case is designed to be dustproof, fully watertight, and crushproof to protect your valuable gear against the harshest handling, shipping, and environmental conditions on the planet. This edition of the 1525Air comes lined, but without foam or other inserts, allowing you the freedom to completely customize the 20.5 x 11.3 x 6.75" interior to your specific needs and to your specific gear.

Your case is made of a super-light proprietary HPX2 polymer, with honeycomb structural elements, which is up to 40% lighter than most other Pelican polymers and has newly designed dual push-button latches that provide ease-of-use versus previous iterations. Case design features include an O-ring that seals it to an IP67-rating to be dust and waterproof, dual 5/16" (8mm) diameter stainless steel reinforced padlock holes, and a pressure relief valve. This valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurized seal that may develop. A polycarbonate card holder may be placed on the front or side of the case.

Pelican 1525 Air Reviews

Best alternative to the video camera cases

I've had two video camera bags which have been great but for travel the Pelican case is so much better. My camera is a C300 mk II with the CN7x17 zoom lens. I can fit the camera, a mic, V mount battery, and charger in this case and know that it will all be safe in the back of the 4WD. Dust seal is good, case can support a small load if it gets stacked under other items. Easy to carry, the air cases are a good weight. One wish would be a super light weight back pack that the pelican case can perfectly fit into for hiking into remote locations.

This is another great product from B&H, they have great selections, prices and services. I am really confident and enjoying it. Also, I always highly recommend B&H to everyone. Thank you.

Best to protect the best

After purchasing a Canon R5 body, I needed a better way to protect and organize my equipment. The Pelican 1525 TP Air case fits the bill. The TrekPak inserts were easy to install and provided added protection.

Standard Pelican - strong, light, protects what's inside. I wanted this one empty (no foam) to store smaller containers. It's nice, flexible and lightweight storage.

This one is an odd shape but is great. Pelican quality and it will protect whatever you put in it.

I've owned the Pelican 1510TP Carry-On Case with TrekPak Divider System and have really enjoyed it. But the new 1525TP case is much lighter and appears to be just as strong and sturdy. Being on the road most of the time protecting your camera equipment can't be understated. I always love the TrekPak Insert system and may consider adding a third case to add to my compliment of new lenses.

Very light and durable

This is the second Pelican Air carrying case that I bought from B&H. I bought another one because I really like how light this case is. I take care of my gear so I cannot attest to the durability of this case under extreme conditions. However, I saw a video made by Pelican that shows a Pelican carrying case being abused, smashed, and thrown around while still retaining its shape. The foam insert is also very useful and well thought out. I love the foam insert because it allows me to customize the interior of the case for a (near) perfect fit.

question

I don't think this is carry on approved case.......at least for international flights.Foe example.......KLM to Europe....The dimensions on their website are 21.5x10x13.5 in.I'll fly to Europe next month and all my bags are too big.....Any advice?
Asked by: eugen
Don't fly KLM if you can avoid it.... I had a case within their carry-on specs but they took it away saying there was no room on the flight. . I told them how much the gear was worth. $40,000 - the didn't care. i told them they would be responsible. They said they wouldn't. I told them lawyers would think otherwise. They still took it away and put in luggage. When I got on the plane. There was plenty of room in the overhead luggage compartments. Half of the compartments were empty. My carry-on at arrival came out perfectly fine, but it could have been disastrous. I avoid KLM. PS - They also have one of the most cramped seating layouts in the air if you fly economy.

Are the listed interior dimensions measuring the case interior with or without the TrekPak System? If not, what is the internal length of the longest side with the TrekPak System installed BUT without dividers. I want to make sure certain long photo equipment will fit in this case.
Asked by: Liam
I have 3 of these cases - with trekpak dividers. Inside dimensions with trekpak is 20" long X 9.75" wide. I bought this particular case b/c of my need for a long dimension carry-on. I can unscrew my focuser from Stellarvue 102T telescope and fit it all in this case (with additional room for a smaller telescope. The dimensions I gave you are the top interior dimensions with trekpak installed. Because the case slopes inward very slightly from top to bottom, the bottom interior dimensions are a bit smaller. I can fit my 19.5 inch scope (without it's focuser assembly) in to the bottom. Hope this helps.
