The 20-stop, 95mm NanoPro One Million X Edition Solar Photography ND Filter from Haida is an ultra-dark neutral density filter that darkens the entire image area, allowing a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required to be used. Increasing the lens aperture allows finer control over depth of field and bokeh, making it easier to help isolate the subject of an image. Increasing exposure time helps to convey movement and increase image blur.
This ultra-dark filter requires an exposure compensation of 20-stops with no effect on image coloration. it is made of optical glass with a multicoating to optimize light transmission and minimize glare. It also features a resistance coating that resists scratches, water, and fingerprints, making it easy to clean and suitable for use in harsh environments. The slim aluminum filter ring allows it to be used on wide-angle lenses without vignetting.
This filter is designed specifically for photography applications. This filter is not suitable for direct solar viewing with the naked eye, including with optical viewfinders.
