Saramonic DK3A Overview

Designed for use with popular wireless transmitters, portable audio recorders, and mixer adapters, the Saramonic DK3A is a premium omnidirectional lavalier microphone equipped with a gold-plated locking 3.5mm TRS connector, making it compatible with devices from Saramonic, Sennheiser, Rode, Senal, Tascam, Zoom, Sony, Azden, Nady, BOYA, Roland, and Marantz.

Thanks to the DK3A's compact size (4mm diameter), it can be easily kept out of sight. Its omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions, allowing it to capture speech consistently even if the mic is not pointed directly at the subject.

The DK3A includes fitted metal and foam windscreens for indoor use and furry windscreens with elastic fastening clips for effective wind noise reduction during outdoor shoots. A soft case is supplied for safe and convenient transport of the mic and its accessories.

Bought this to replace the included mic in the UwMic9 wireless system. This is better quality overall with more accessories and built better but not nearly as good as premium mics which I might upgrade to soon.

Is the DK3A compatible with the Blink 500 pro? If not can you recommend a premium level product that is.

Yes, the Saramonic DK3A Premium Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is compatible for use with the transmitters in the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2 Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System.

Is this the mic that comes with the UwMic9 wireless package or a different/better one?

No this is a better one, the included mic with the UwMic9 is the SR-UM10-M1. The DK3a will give you much higher-quality sound and a smoother frequency response. It also comes with a suite of accessories that the SR-UM10-M1 does not. So if you can afford the DK3A over the SR-UM10-M1, you will be much happier with the result.

Can you use this with a MixPre 3 II recorder? ...

Can you use this with a MixPre 3 II recorder? Else is there another preferred wired lav?

Yes, according to page 18 of manual you can use the DK3A into the MixPre 3 II's 3.5mm aux/mic input and it does have plug-in power. Or as the B&H salesperson said you can use a 3.5mm to XLR mic adapter that converts phantom power to plug-in power, like the Saramonic C-XLR+.
