The small yet mighty Tortoise Columnless Carbon Fiber Three Series Tripod with GX35 Ball Head from Benro is a compact, lightweight travel tripod with a high load capacity and remarkable stability. The center column-free design makes it nimble and lightweight for travel and reduces the potential for shake common to high center column positioning. This is especially significant when shooting video content. The legs offer independent spread and three locking positions and incorporate automatic leg angle adjustment for fast and sure setup. The aluminum leg spider features a 1/4"-20 accessory mounts for extension arms, monitors, lights, and more. The rubber feet feature three distinct contact surfaces providing a grip whether the legs are vertical, on an angle, or nearly horizontal when positioned.

Benro Tortoise Three Series Tripod with GX35 ... Reviews
Awesome Tripod
Before I purchased this tripod I wasn't sure if it would be tall enough. It's as tall as my Manfrotto 055XPROB. I'm '5 10 and it is taller than me. Extremely well built. It collapses to be a nice small package.
Strong Reliable Light perfect for travel and great value.
This three series Benro tripod combines all the features I want in a tripod. It is rugged and well made, does not have a center column, (center columns only add vibration and instability to a tripod in my opinion). At 23 1/4 long it will fit in checked luggage, but with the ball head removed (which is easy) the tripod is only 19 1/2 long and will fit in carry on luggage. I use this tripod for time lapse and astro photography and it is ideal. I am 5' 11 tall and the tripod is a bit short, but my camera has a tilt screen so the hight does not worry me at all. I think it is more important to have a tripod that is rock solid than a couple of inches taller.
