Whether you're listening or speaking, the RZ-S500W Noise-Canceling True Wireless In-Ear Headphones from Panasonic are engineered to provide audio clarity. When listening to your favorite music or podcasts, a combination of feed-forward and feed-back active noise cancellation, along with analog and digital processing work, to filter out distracting ambient noise.

When talking on hands-free calls or interacting with your mobile device's digital assistant software, a total of 6 MEMS microphones and beamforming technology help to make sure your voice is heard loud and clear. With beamforming, the microphones are actively focused to the sound of your voice. In addition, a labyrinth cabinet structure is incorporated in the earbuds to suppress wind noise.

Ambient Sound

Being isolated with your audio can improve your listening experience, but sometimes you need to hear what's happening around you. Whether it's a short chat or hearing an important announcement, you can hear it all without having to remove your earbuds. Simply engage the Ambient Sound mode to let the world back in.

Battery Life & Charging Case

On a full charge, the S500W true wireless headphones have enough power for up to 6.5 hours of playback. The included charging case's battery delivers an additional 13 hours of playback. When you store your earbuds into the case, they begin to recharge automatically. If you're in a rush, a quick 15 minutes of recharging will give your S500W earbuds up to 70 minutes of playback.

Stable Connections

Panasonic's antenna design and independent left-right signaling help to provide stable connections between earbuds, and between the headphones and your mobile device.

Touch Controls

Each earbud features touch-sensitive controls that let you manage an array of audio functions. You can play or pause, adjust the volume, change tracks, manage noise cancelation, accept or reject hands-free calls, and connect with your device's digital assistant.

Good product with a few quirks

Overall, these are good headphones, and a worthy alternative to more expensive brands. However, there are a few quirks. On the iPhone, if you get a call while wearing the headphones, you have to answer it by tapping the headphones. If you answer using the iPhones touchscreen, it routes audio to the phone. Additionally, the touch controls are a little too sensitive, even when you're adjusting the headphones in your ear, you accidentally may stop/start the audio because you activate the touch controls. But the audio quality is good and the noise cancellation works well. Overall 4/5.

3 Broken Sets, Poor Quality Control, DON'T BUY!

I've gone through 3 pairs of earbuds, each set breaking in some way after a month or less. The first two saw a shift in volume so the right earbud was barely audible while my latest pair's left earbud won't charge in the case unless it's precariously balanced on the contacts (instead of fitting into the magnetic slot like it should be). The sound quality and EQ control are great, but it's meaningless if it won't just work! DON'T BUY! (This is my second review since it appears that B&H didn't publish my first one-star review for this product around a month ago)

Sounds amazing, feels okay, extras are poor

First off, these earbuds sound really great. There's a great sound floor, they're eq'd for popular use, bass is clear and not muddy, vocals sound natural. The active noise cancelling is excellent; even just with them stuck in your ears (passive) they do a pretty good job. While wearing them, the side of each earbud is a button for different uses. They're really sensitive. I have, many, many times gone to adjust one during a phone call and accidentally hung up. I've even been listening to music wearing a, XL hoodie and the pressure from the hood triggers the button. The microphone is hit and miss. Sometimes people say they can hear me well enough, other times they tell me that I'm really quiet. I think it has to do with the rotational orientation while in-ear. Lastly, I wish these could get a little quieter. Sometimes I like to just have something on in the background, but there isn't much of a background with these.
