Hollyland Mars 300 Pro Reviews

So annoying and unreliable

I've had the Mars 300 for years now and I find I simply don't use them because every time I do they fail or they cut out or they're a pain in the ace to set up. Hollyland has some half done products in the market and this is one of. I won't be buying anything from Hollyland again.

Loop out HDMI is perfect.

I got this over the Mars 400 and 4K because of the HDMI loop-out. Also chose this over the Cosmo because of the projection to smartphones for crew in addition to the RF projection to the receiver for the focus puller. Excellent product. The range in practice is actually only about 100 feet in a crowd, and signal varies if you are trying to use this as a remote camera for livestream events.

Worth It

Bought this set for my A6400 for church. Currently we have 2 other cameras connected with an HDMI cable and one one with the transmitter, all plugging into an ATEM switcher. There is no latency that I can see, image is clear and sharp, and the ability to move around the building without being tied down by cables is amazing! Cant wait to set the other cameras up this way. It takes the production to a whole other level.

These are almost too good to be true. They work flawlessly and are easy to use.

Doesn't work

Out of the box with no instructions this product should be as simple to use as its visual flow chart instructions. Plug and play . Except it doesn't . I've literally spent hours trying to get two separate units to recognize its HDMI VIDIO INPUT. Correct resolution , cord works . Units are not recognizing video in . Support on line non existent. Facebook page. No help. The pro name is a misnomer .

Perfect for documentary work

I was halfway though a documentary. It's a small team of me and my buddy. One day I looked back and my buddy was taking notes and trying to watch the screen. I bought these, added a directors screen. The last few days of interviews went so much better. There is a half a second of latency, but it's perfect for what I needed.

would not pair

was super excited to try this product for new years but wouldnt pair and totally not worth the headache.....it was even advertised as simple/ auto pairing. reciever would not find channel. restarted each time tried going through menu to pair, and channel search but would never sync.... should have a hardline option to make devices pair to together.

Wireless Freedom

Bought this pair trying to get shots of action from behind the basket at court level in a HS Gym during a live stream. With so many people running about and our workspace at the top of the bleachers, it wasn't safe to string 100' of SDI cable. Now our games have 2-camera glory! Also got a pair of Watson NP-F770 batteries, and each one does a single game easily (but not two games.) I only shorted this one star for the size and awkwardness once it's mounted to the cold shoe.

There are fans in the Hollyland Mars 300 PRO, but they are extremely quiet. These will not ruin a quiet scene. There is no way to control the fan speed on this model.
