I use this cable for professional video. It gives me great audio with no static. Great for interviews and use with lavalier mic.
Needed to connect laptop computer headphone audio out to a PA system for a presentation on photography. AV chaps told me that a transformer was necessary to connect the laptop to the PA's microphone input along with the necessary cable adapters. The AV guys provided me with a DI box to do the job - it did. But I bought one of these for testing and it worked every bit as well as the DI box. It's a keeper.
