I've waited a while to write this review because I am usually very happy with B&H's service and product guidance. So, this is probably my fault, but I don't want others to waste their money. I bought an R6 and had sold my old canon DSLR and most of its accessories. I quickly saw the need for and additional battery. With my DSLR I had decided to go with some of the 3rd party batteries that were highly rated on B&H and for years I've been happy with the results. So for half the price of a Canon battery, I jumped on the Watson battery which clearly stated it could be used in the R6. However, when I finally charged it and put it in for its first use I go a message on the back of the camera that said battery communication error,. does this battery display the Canon logo? Trying the options given I was never able to get past this screen. I've read a variety of fixes online, but these only work sometime and oftentimes take a long time. When in the field you need a fast solution. Unfortunately, this is a place I would recommend to spend the extra money on an official Canon product. I would also encourage B&H to be more upfront in the product description of what compatible actually means in this case!

I have only had the battery for a short time, but it seems to out last the canon battery the came with my R6 mark ii and is about $25 less expensive. If this trend keeps up I will be purchasing more of these batteries to replace my older canon batteries.

Extra Power for the Non-Mirror Canon cameras

I own a number of Canon digital cameras and found out that the non mirrored camera consume quite a bit more power than say my 5D mark III mirrored camera. This battery work in both cameras with greater mAh giving me more time/shots per charge.

The Watson LP-E6NH Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 2250mAh) would only supply a few more minutes ( 4-5 min at most) of power when compared to Black Magics pack in camera battery.
