ASUS ROG Phone 3 Overview

For those who take their mobile gaming seriously, the ROG Phone 3 Dual-SIM 512GB 5G Smartphone from ASUS features a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus platform with a 3.1 GHz CPU, helping you smoothly run the most demanding games. A 3D vapor chamber, large heat sink, and AeroActive Cooler 3 attachment keeps everything cool, while the large 6000Mah battery provides enough power for long gaming sessions.

If you prefer online and team-based gaming, the ROG Phone 3's support for 5G networks and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology can deliver extremely fast performance to reduce or eliminate any lag. An integrated quad-microphone system with noise cancelation works to make sure you can be heard by squad mates for better coordination. Whether playing solo or online, the ROG Phone 3 gives you fine control with AirTrigger 3 motion and touch sensors, plus a 270 Hz touch-sampling rate for 25ms touch latency on the display.

The display is a huge 6.59" AMOLED screen with 144 Hz refresh rate, color-calibration for a Delta-E value of less than 1, support for HDR10+ content, and TÜV Rheinland-certified blue light reduction to minimize eye strain. This equates to smooth gameplay with more dynamic and realistic visuals. When the gaming stops, you still have an advanced smartphone with high-end camera features. You get a triple 64MP/13MP/5MP rear camera system, hi-res 24MP selfie camera, and a host of software modes to enhance your photos and videos. Take ultra-wide and macro shots, videos at up to 8K resolution, and more.

Android 10
The Android operating system is a personalized and customizable OS that allows you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your home screen and integrates heavily with Google's services. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to millions of apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 10 adds a wide variety of intelligent features, additional privacy controls, and other enhancements that make using your Android phone more enjoyable. Some features include Live Caption, which captions running videos, podcasts, and audio messages without the need for Wi-Fi or cellular data; Smart Reply, which suggests both responses to and actions for texts; and Family Link, which lets you manage apps, set screen time limits, and more.
GSM/4G LTE + 5G Wireless Connectivity
This phone is designed to work on select GSM & 5G networks. 5G is a cellular network data protocol capable of extremely fast data speeds that rival, or surpass, that of wired broadband Internet providers. 5G speeds can vary considerably based on location, but on average, should have no problem streaming 4K video. As 5G upgrades over time, mobile AR and VR applications could become possible. The phone is backwards compatible with 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G data for locations that do not support 5G.
North American Variant / US Compatible 5G
The ROG Phone 3 is a US variant. It may be used in other parts of the world; however, 5G access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network. Please choose your country/carrier above to confirm the network compatibility of this phone.
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. Once your SIM cards are installed, you will be able to receive phone calls and text messages from either without needing to manually choose which one is active. When you want to make a call or send an SMS message, you can select the correct SIM card. When one SIM card is being used for a phone call, the other will not be active until you hang up. Operator charges may apply.
AirTrigger 3
A motion sensor and integrated ultrasonic touch sensors that can be mapped to any in-game action. The motion sensor lets you control your gaming experience by tilting the phone. The integrated touch sensors run along the long edges of the phone, and support slide, swipe, and inner/outer button detection.
GameFX Audio System
Audio specialist Dirac worked with ASUS to fine tune the ROG Phone 3's audio. The phone utilizes dual front-facing stereo speakers to provide dynamic sound, while Game Mode employs audio algorithms to target player location for maximum immersion.
ROG Connect
Online community features that let you more easily communicate with friends online and upload gameplay footage to show off your skills.
Game Genie
This app lets you take control of your mobile gaming experience with a floating window to check tactics without leaving the game. It also offers macro support to automate select in-game processes, and a screen recording function to capture gameplay footage. An automatic recording buffer helps you save moments that already happened.
Stadia & Unity
Partnering with both Stadia and Unity, you can enjoy cloud-based game streaming anywhere. To get you started, ASUS includes a free Stadia Pro Pass for a 3-month trial of Stadia Pro.
