Update your cinema lens set with this 50mm T1.5 DSX High-Speed Cine Lens from Rokinon that comes in a Sony E mount. The DSX continues the line with the same multilayer coating process, industry-standard geared focus and iris rings, and fast T1.5 aperture, and it adds a 9-blade iris for beautiful soft bokeh, weather sealing to keep the moisture out, and focal lengths on both sides for added versatility for focus pullers.
This 50mm lens produces a 46.2° coverage when used with full-frame cameras. Hybrid aspherical lenses render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations, with a minimum focus distance of about 1.5' from the lens. The 9-blade iris also allows you to create up to a stunning 18-ray starburst when you're stopped all the way down.
A removable petal-shaped lens hood provides flare protection when shooting without a matte box, and the lens' threaded front accepts a 77mm filter ring.

Rokinon 50mm T1.5 Cine DSX Reviews
Great starter cine lens
I've been shooting Rokinon for 6 years now. I learned film and photography on them, my first lens being the cine 35mm. When I saw an upgraded model for a similar price, I was eager to pick one up. Build quality is MUCH better on these DSX's. The metal housing is much more durable and confident that the old plastic model. The focus and aperture rings are smooth and that extra blade gives some even prettier bokeh. I haven't put enough time into yet but I'm waiting to see how sharp it is. A common problem with the Rokinon cines is that though they are fast, they are very soft. I'm hoping this newer line fixed that problem.
My favorite Cine lens
I own two of these lenses as part of my four camera rig. The 50mm is probably my favorite lens and the rokinon does not disappoint. I primarily shoot in lower light on a C100 and the image from this lens is excellent.
only did limited testing but super sharp and happy so far
I've only had the chance to do some test shots with it and haven't used it on a job yet, however the lens is super sharp when I used it for a wide interview shot on my Eos R in 1080. It feels like it's built sturdy, no issues with the focus or iris ring. the only thing I'm not crazy about is the minimum focusing distance. Seems like I should be able to get closer than I am and get focus. I'd say it's over a foot, although I haven't measured it. That's the reason why I gave this four instead of five stars. But I bought this primarily to use as the master shot for interviews, so it does the job I want it to well.
Really love this lens
I'm really impressed with this lens and are looking at purchasing others for my Canon R camera
