Is the 4TB the WD40EFRX or the WD40EFZX? It's CMR (so not an WD40EFAX), right?
As per the WD Spec data sheet, the 64GB cache model is WD BMMA0040 HNC-NRSN
Do your own due diligence, as WD now obfuscates their specs, and no longer writes the cache info on the label. However the series name W40EFRX=64GB, W40EFZX=128GB

Do your red plus have a number of WD40ERX ?
I purchased the 6TB model. MFR part number (MFR #WDBAVV0060HNC-WRSN) on this site must be a retail packaged product number. My Synology reports part number as WD60EFRX-68L0BN1.

Are these WD Red Plus 4 & 6TB drives compatible with the Synology DS920+?
I know for a fact that they are compatible with TrueNas and are designed for NAS use. WD sells some so called RED drives that use a recording mode that fails with some NAS software.
I received two of the drives from two different vendors (BB and B&H) and both arrived without interior packing in the box. In other words the retail box was rattling around in the shipping box in transit. I have returned both of these and have received two Seagate Ironwolf 6TB disk drives and two Ironwold 500 GB SATA III SSDs for my TrueNas server.
