Z CAM Turbomount Reviews

Horrible unless in a controlled enviornment

This lens mount is sharp, has all the electronic contacts you need for AF AE and IS, and is very well built. The only issue is if any hard light hits the lens AT ALL, the coatings in this adapter cause flares that would make JJ Abrams blush. The whole frame loses so much contrast it looks like LOG footage even with a LUT on. Cost me critical wedding footage. 10/10 for the thought, 0/10 for execution, Z Cam.

Very nice add-on to my Z Cam M4

Tested this against a Metabones and an airgap adapter and the image quality is perfect. Don't see any distortion.

When using this on the m4, can I use APS-C/Super35 lenses or do I need to use full frame?
Asked by: Jack
Yes, you do not need full frame, as the sensor size on the camera is an MFT sized sensor, so it is still smaller than the APS-C and Super35.

Does it work on e2s6 with Zcam electronic ND’s ??
Asked by: Grisha
The electronic ND gets installed in the EF and PL lens mounts. The TurboMount does not appear to have room for an eND to be installed, so the simpler answer is no.

Does this work on the S6? Heard conflicting opinions.
Asked by: Ole Patric
not sure why its advertised for the S6, but I tested it and even heard directly from Zcam its designed for the M4. So it does not work well at all on the S6.

You cannot. This is for the cameras that have a smaller sized sensor, not the full frame option.
